At the foot of Dai Hue mountain, the rose gardens of the people of Nam Anh commune (Nam Dan district, Nghe An) are ripe and bright red. For a long time, this place has become one of the destinations for tourists every time the rose season ripens because of the wild mountain and forest scenery, interspersed with poetic rose gardens.

Nam Anh Commune currently has hundreds of households growing persimmon trees on an area of ​​about 150 hectares. Each year, the whole commune harvests about 500 tons of fruit. With prices ranging from 20,000 VND to 30,000 VND, persimmon gardens have brought a large source of income to local people.

Nam Anh commune leaders said that persimmons in this commune are mainly grown at the foot and slopes of Dai Hue mountain. In recent years, in addition to harvesting fruit for sale, people have taken advantage of the beautiful scenery of the persimmon garden to do eco -tourism , selling tickets for tourists to visit and take souvenir photos.

With 40 persimmon trees that are decades old, this year, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyet's family (resident of Hamlet 7, Nam Anh Commune) plans to harvest about 150kg of persimmons. "If we pick and sell them on the spot, the price is 20,000 VND/kg. If we pick them and soak them to make them crispy and sweet, we sell them for 30,000 VND. Wherever we pick persimmons, they are all bought," Mrs. Tuyet said, adding that on weekends, her family's persimmon garden is always visited by tourists who come to take souvenir photos.

The ripe rose gardens at the foot of Dai Hue mountain attract many tourists from inside and outside the province.

In addition to being natural, some rose gardens are arranged with tables and chairs by tourists, creating more scenes for tourists to take check-in photos when the roses ripen.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Sach (residing in Vinh city, Nghe An) - one of the pioneers in tourism from the ancient rose garden on Dai Hue mountain - shared that although the rose season has just begun, there are peak days when hundreds of tourists come to the garden to visit and take pictures.

In addition to the highlight of the hundred-year-old rose garden that creates a wild beauty, Mr. Sach also provides many services to serve tourists such as renting costumes, accessories and photography services for tourists.

Nam Anh commune leaders said that this year's persimmon yield is only average. However, the price of persimmons purchased by establishments is higher than last year, so people are very excited.

Rose gardens for both fruit harvesting and tourism have brought great economic benefits to local people here.

In addition to Nam Anh commune, neighboring communes such as Nam Xuan and Nam Hung also have large areas of persimmon cultivation in Nam Dan district. Each year, these communes supply the market with about 800 tons of persimmons.
