The 2023 meeting and dialogue between the head of Ha Tinh government and businesses took place in a frank and open spirit. Through this, the government and businesses together sought ways to overcome difficulties for common development.

Promoting investment attraction in tourism sector

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee met with businesses and entrepreneurs on the sidelines of the meeting and dialogue conference

At the meeting and dialogue program between the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and enterprises and entrepreneurs in 2023 held on October 12, nearly 200 enterprises affirmed that in the past time, Ha Tinh has actively supported production and business activities. However, currently, enterprises still face a number of difficulties and obstacles that greatly affect production and business activities; especially issues in the fields of: environmental resources, finance - tax, investment procedures... that need the province's attention and timely resolution.

Chairman of Ha Tinh Young Entrepreneurs Association Nguyen Tien Trinh pointed out some problems in the tourism sector.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Trinh - Chairman of Ha Tinh Young Entrepreneurs Association commented: "The province is calling for investors who are large corporations to invest in many fields in Ha Tinh, including tourism. However, tourism investment projects have not been implemented much. Meanwhile, the infrastructure is not synchronized, famous tourist areas of Ha Tinh have not met all the requirements to welcome and retain tourists. What plans does the province have to solve the above limitations to attract tourists to Ha Tinh in the coming time?".

Ms. Than Thi Nghi - Director of Thien Y Hotel (Thien Cam Tourist Area - Cam Xuyen) also said: "The province should have more strong solutions to attract investment in the tourism sector. Thien Cam Tourist Area has a cemetery "blocking" it, which greatly affects business operations. We suggest that the province soon implement the relocation."

Cam Xuyen district has just cleared the kiosk system blocking Thien Cam beach, creating space for tourism development.

Receiving and exchanging opinions on the tourism sector, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui Xuan Thap said that in recent times, the province has had many policies and mechanisms to attract investment in the tourism sector. Currently, 25 enterprises have signed commitments to invest in tourism in the area. In order for tourism activities to match its potential, the industry will increase incentives for training institutions to open training courses and invite experts to support. In addition, enterprises must also strive to improve their competitiveness and build new tourism products to "stand firm" on their own two feet.

Informing businesses, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai said: Ha Tinh is carrying out tasks to improve Thien Cam beach tourism; assigning Cam Xuyen district to resolutely implement the planning and build a roadmap to relocate the cemetery at Thien Cam tourist area.

Many solutions close to business development

At the dialogue conference, many businesses operating in the field of basic construction also discussed the scarcity of two common materials: earth and sand; the price of earth and sand that businesses buy is higher than the price announced by the province; the unit price of labor in basic construction is currently issued lower than the actual price that businesses rent.

Director of the Department of Construction Nguyen Quoc Ha answered questions related to construction material prices.

Regarding the shortage of construction materials such as soil and sand, Director of the Department of Construction Nguyen Quoc Ha said: Currently, the Provincial People's Committee is assigning the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction, relevant departments, branches, localities and units to inspect, review, analyze and evaluate the reserves of construction material mines; requesting mine owners to increase capacity to ensure reasonableness and efficiency, meeting the demand for construction materials in the period up to 2025.

Regarding the price of construction materials, the unit price of labor is currently within the price range issued by the Ministry of Construction . In the coming time, the province will advise all levels and sectors to make adjustments to gradually reduce the difference. In addition, the province will also continue to strengthen price management, stabilize construction material prices to ensure the harmony of interests between the State and enterprises; speed up the licensing process for mines in the province to increase supply and reduce construction material costs.

Chairman of the Ha Tinh Province Business Association Le Duc Thang proposed to address difficulties in accessing loans and requested banks to consider reducing loan interest rates for businesses.

At the conference, many businesses also proposed difficulties in accessing bank credit sources. Representing the business community, Mr. Le Duc Thang - Chairman of the Ha Tinh Province Business Association proposed that the banking sector continue to research to reduce loan interest rates and have more products and services to serve businesses.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Trung - Director of the State Bank of Ha Tinh province: Currently, the credit room of banks is still quite large, the interest rate level has decreased compared to the beginning of the year with many preferential policies. Enterprises should proactively learn and approach policies to benefit when borrowing capital from credit institutions. The goods and banks lend are conditional, so enterprises must demonstrate their financial capacity to access loans.

In addition to the difficulties in the fields of natural resources - environment, finance and banking, some enterprises operating in the agricultural sector also proposed that the Provincial People's Committee have policies to support the destruction of infected pigs and credit support policies for some industries operating in the agricultural sector; some enterprises operating in the industrial sector proposed that the province allocate land funds for power projects into the annual land use planning and publicly announce, support and facilitate the approval of investment policies for investment projects to build and renovate the power grid...

All proposals and recommendations from businesses at the conference were answered by departments, agencies and provincial leaders. In addition to 8 proposals from businesses that were answered directly at the conference, the Provincial People's Committee also assigned relevant departments and agencies to thoroughly answer businesses in writing for nearly 80 other proposals and recommendations.

After a frank and constructive discussion, many “bottlenecks” were cleared. In particular, businesses were even more hopeful when Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Trong Hai affirmed: “The province is committed to continuing to focus on directing issues that directly affect businesses. Ha Tinh always accompanies businesses, creating a favorable and open investment and production environment.”
