Genesis Competition - Creative startup playground for female students

This morning (September 20), the Vietnam Women's Academy organized the Academy-level Final Round of the contest "Genesis - Creative startup ideas for female students 2024".

This is an important event in the series of activities of the project to support women in starting a business in the period 2017-2025. Genesis is not only a competition but also a playground, a place to inspire creativity, where female students can freely realize their business ideas.

Since 2015, the Vietnam Women's Academy has coordinated with the University of Sydney, Australia to organize the "Creative Business Ideas" competition for female students. The competition has become a traditional activity, attracting the attention of many students inside and outside the Academy. In particular, since 2018, the competition has been integrated into the Women's Startup Support Project, becoming one of the key activities to promote the entrepreneurial spirit of women, especially female students.

The competition not only helps young people practice business skills but also creates a dynamic learning environment, encouraging the spirit of daring to think and daring to do.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Tien - Director of Vietnam Women's Academy - delivered the opening speech at the final round at the Academy level.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Academy-level final round, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Tien - Director of the Vietnam Women's Academy - emphasized that Genesis 2024 is not only a competition but also an opportunity for students to learn and hone their entrepreneurial skills, hoping that students will continue to develop and perfect their ideas, turning their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

At the same time, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Tien affirmed that with the dedicated support of experts, businesses, and teachers who have accompanied the competition after many years of organization, along with the enthusiastic participation of students, the Vietnam Women's Academy will maintain and promote this playground to become a creative destination and incubator for the development of unique and feasible business ideas for students inside and outside the Academy.

Contest team presents business idea

Attending the final round, representatives of enterprises also expressed their support and willingness to invest in feasible business ideas. Mr. Vu Hoang Nam - Deputy Director of PVComBank Dong Da Branch presented congratulatory flowers and affirmed the companionship of enterprises in nurturing young talents. This is a great motivation for students, encouraging them to confidently present and defend their ideas before the jury.

The judges asked questions to the competing teams after listening to the presentations.

At the Genesis Academy Finals 2024, the top 6 teams after the preliminary round presented their innovative business ideas. This year's ideas were highly appreciated for their practicality and creativity.

After this round, the 3 best ideas will enter the National Final Round to compete with teams from universities across the North, Central and South regions.
