Seven days before admission, the child had a traffic accident that caused extensive skin lacerations on the left shoulder, arm, wrist, left pelvis, thigh, leg and ankle. The child was taken to a local hospital, treated for wound care, skin grafting and antibiotics for several days. However, the child's condition did not improve, the wound worsened and he was transferred to the City Children's Hospital.
Here, the infection of the wound on the child's left hand and left leg was quite severe, the wound peeled off the skin of the entire left leg, arm, thigh, and lower leg, the child had a continuous fever of 39-40 degrees, the wound had a very unpleasant smell and a lot of pus, the face was toxic, had difficulty breathing, and a fast heart rate. The doctors quickly consulted, performed emergency surgery to remove the wound, and gave antibiotics. Initial culture of the wound pus and blood culture showed Gram-negative bacilli.

Dr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Deputy Director of the City Children's Hospital, said that the patient was placed on a continuous negative pressure wound cleaning system (VAC) and used biological gauze and advanced antiseptic solutions. These are modern wound care products that are capable of preventing infection, absorbing necrotic tissue fluid, causing no pain, not sticking to the wound, and at the same time creating conditions for granulation tissue to grow quickly. The patient was treated with intravenous feeding support, protein solution infusion, electrolyte adjustment, acid-base imbalance, and pain relief.
After 10 days, the baby was alert, responsive, had pink lips, warm limbs, was breathing fresh air, had a clear pulse, the wound was dry, and there was little oozing. Vital signs were stable, and the wound was continuously irrigated and drained through the VAC system. The baby was able to communicate with nurses through language translation technology, and his mental state improved significantly thanks to the support of psychological therapy.

After overcoming the critical infection treatment phase at the City Children's Hospital, the baby's vital signs were temporarily stable and the family expressed their desire to bring the baby back to Russia to continue the long-term treatment process.
