MoneyDay 2025 is an activity under the journey series The Moneyverse - Universe of Money 2025, the first financial education program combining entertainment and technology for Vietnamese students. This year's series of events was held at 10 prominent universities nationwide, where 10 excellent students studied who surpassed 25,000 other candidates and entered the top 10 Finalists. Money Day "Change to keep up" was co-organized by Vimaru Media & Communication Club (VMC) and FoE English KLUB Club;

"Tailor-made" space for students

As an event co-organized by The Moneyverse and universities nationwide, Money Day is not only a destination for young Vietnamese people to unleash their financial thinking but also an innovative educational space - where students can explore the financial world through gamification and dramatization perspectives.

All content is tailored to each school, ensuring maximum practical learning needs of students, making each festival unique – both imbued with the school's identity and spreading the spirit and values of The Moneyverse.

For a young generation of independence and self-reliance

The highlight of the event was the talk show "Financial Doctor" - where three speakers "examined" the students' wallets, bringing profound but close lessons. In particular, the event had the appearance of Professor Ha Ton Vinh, former Special Assistant to the White House, currently a Senior Asia Regional Consultant for the World Bank. Professor Vinh shared that, as a son born and raised in Hai Phong , he was very excited to participate in the event because he wanted to contribute to the other sons of the port city to become more independent and self-reliant.

He shared: "Learning is not just a way to make money. Learning is also a way for a person to be happier and more proud of himself." "Money is not the final product, but only a secondary reward for the learning journey." With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Professor Ha Ton Vinh has continuously received a series of questions from students.

Journalist Duong Ngoc Trinh - who has more than 18 years of experience in the field of economics and finance at VTV, shared a realistic perspective on personal financial thinking. To the question "When should you "cut your losses" when investing", she frankly shared: "This is an unclear question, because each person has different capital and tolerance. Instead of following other people's boundaries, find a mirror and look at yourself."

Joining the group was Ms. Luu Thuy Hai, Head of Priority Customer Department, BIDV Bank, Hai Phong Branch, who brought a practical perspective from the modern banking environment. Her professional knowledge on personal financial management, money habits and how to increase the value of money received many enthusiastic questions from students.

As one of the four largest commercial banks in Vietnam, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) currently has a network of more than 1,100 branches and transaction offices nationwide, serving tens of millions of individual and corporate customers. Not only a leader in the field of finance and banking, BIDV is also a pioneer in community activities, especially education and development of the younger generation.

At the Money Day event - "Change to keep up", BIDV awarded a scholarship worth 200 million VND to Vietnam Maritime University, demonstrating the spirit of accompanying knowledge and encouraging learning. The gift not only has material value but is also a great source of encouragement, encouraging students to constantly strive to study, renew their thinking and take control of their financial future.

Journey to spread knowledge nationwide

In 2025, the Money Day series was held at 10 typical universities across the country - where 10 excellent students studied, surpassing more than 25,000 candidates to enter the Top 10 of the Money Universe 2025.

More than just a playground, The Moneyverse is an innovative financial education platform for Vietnamese youth, combining entertainment, technology, and knowledge. The series of programs aims to build financial capacity and innovative thinking – core elements that help young people stand firm in a volatile world.

From learning how to manage personal expenses to smart investing, applying technology to digital finance; each Money Day event is a small but sure step in the journey to raise financial awareness of the Vietnamese student community.

Money Day – "Change to keep up" not only provides knowledge, but also inspires the spirit of initiative in learning and change. In an era where everything changes every day, The Moneyverse and Money Day have sent a strong message to young people: "Change is not about losing yourself, but a journey of continuous improvement to keep up with the world – and for the world to see you."
