According to VTC News, coach Daiki Iwamasa (Japanese) will fly to Vietnam tomorrow to sign a contract with Hanoi FC.
Mr. Daiki Iwamasa is the fourth coach of Hanoi FC this season. After firing coach Bozidar Bandovic, the capital team appointed two interim coaches, Mr. Le Duc Tuan and Mr. Dinh The Nam. Mr. Tuan is part of the team's coaching staff, while Mr. Nam is the director of the Hanoi youth football training center.
Mr. Daiki Iwamasa was born in 1982 and has been with Kashima Antlers for most of his playing career. His preferred position is center back or full back.

Daiki Iwamasa won three consecutive J.League 1 titles from 2007 to 2009, and was named to the All-Star Team in all three seasons. He also won the Emperor's Cup in 2007 and 2010, and the J.League Cup in 2011 and 2012.
In the national team, he played a total of 8 matches, including 4 matches at the 2011 Asian Cup and helped the Japanese team win the championship.
In 2017, Daiki Iwamasa was both coach and player of Tokyo FC. Five years later, he returned to Kashima Antlers as assistant coach to Rene Weiler. In August 2022, Iwamasa became the team's head coach. In the past two seasons, Kashima Antlers have been in the top 5 of J.League 1.
Hanoi FC's form is improving after an unstable period at the beginning of the season. However, the capital team's performance in the V.League is not good enough, only ranking 8th after the first 8 rounds. Therefore, the club's management decided to look for a new coach and continue to target foreign experts for this position.
Mr. Daiki Iwamasa has about 1 month to work with the new team before the domestic tournaments return. The Japanese coach's first match will be an away match against Thanh Hoa Club in round 9, taking place on February 18.
