Da Lat City requires accommodation and service establishments not to increase prices and to improve the quality of tourism throughout the Da Lat Flower Festival.
The Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee announced that the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival, themed "Da Lat Flowers - A Symphony of Colors," will take place from December 5th to 31st.
According to the Chairman of the Da Lat City People's Committee, Dang Quang Tu, work has been carried out with hotels to stabilize room rates during the festival. To put an end to price gouging and aggressive touting that occurred during previous festivals, the city has directed regular monitoring and handling of price increases and negative behaviors affecting the image of tourism. Da Lat is also strengthening security and safety measures for tourists during this period.

Currently, Da Lat has more than 23,400 rooms, serving an average of 72,000 visitors per day. "The city is fully capable of meeting the accommodation needs of tourists, preventing a shortage of rooms," Mr. Tu said.
To minimize traffic congestion and parking overload, the Organizing Committee has planned additional parking areas outside the city center, utilized parking spaces of administrative agencies, and regulated traffic at bottleneck points, hoping to provide a better experience for visitors during this year's Festival.
According to the organizers, this year's Da Lat Flower Festival events emphasize an international element, with the participation of cultural and artistic communities from many countries and Da Lat's tourism partner, South Korea. In addition, the festival promotes the value of the local flower production industry and recognizes Da Lat City's efforts in joining the UNESCO global creative network in the field of music .
Da Lat has been recognized as a city within Vietnam's first creative music network. The 2024 Flower Festival is expected to feature around 10 music programs and related activities.
Some notable activities in Bao Loc and Da Lat during this period include the "City of Tea and Silk" program; the "Wine, Tea, Coffee and Da Lat - Lam Dong Specialties" street; the Da Lat vegetable and flower market; the Da Lat - Chuncheon (South Korea) international cultural and artistic exchange; and the street carnival of flowers and heritage (flower float parade, floral fashion show, street art).

The Da Lat Flower Festival is held every two years in December. Besides admiring the festival's floral displays, visitors to Da Lat can also see wild sunflowers, cherry blossoms, and pink grass in Langbiang and surrounding areas.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, said that the Da Lat Flower Festival contributes to the socio-economic development of the locality, including flower cultivation and tourism. The festival also spreads the culture of the southern Central Highlands region to tourists.
"The Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 is expected to welcome 2 million tourists, including 60,000 international visitors, with projected revenue of 3,600 billion VND," Mr. Kien said.
