On November 19, digital travel platform Agoda announced a list of the most economical year-end travel destinations, offering many options for those looking for cheap accommodation during Christmas and New Year in Asia.

Accordingly, Da Lat is the most affordable destination in Vietnam and the 4th in Asia with an average room rate of only 1,570,000 VND/night.

With its characteristic cool climate, poetic natural scenery and vibrant festival activities, Dalat continues to affirm its attraction.

Every Christmas and New Year, Dalat always puts on its distinctive beauty with a cool mountain climate, ideal for tourists to enjoy a memorable year-end holiday.

This is also the time when tens of thousands of people flock to Da Lat for tourism and relaxation, causing accommodation in this city to become scarce and prices to increase sharply compared to normal days. Therefore, the fact that Da Lat tops the list of most economical destinations for Christmas and New Year in Vietnam is a surprise.

According to many tourists, room rates at major hotels here also have surcharges, but usually no more than 30% during holidays.

With an average room rate of only VND1,168,000/night, Hat Yai (Thailand) tops Agoda's ranking. Following behind are Surakarta (Indonesia) and Varanasi (India) with room rates of VND1,193,000 and VND1,244,000/night, respectively.
