Vietnam Happy Fest 2025: Journey to discover happiness in the heart of Hanoi

From December 5 to 7, the walking street around Hoan Kiem Lake will transform into a "Happiness Road" within the framework of Vietnam Happy Fest 2025.

This is an event officially approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with Decision No. 4214/QD-BVHTTDL dated November 5, 2025. The event is chaired by the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 is associated with the Human Rights Media Award "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025", an annual program from 2023, encouraging the community to create photos and videos about the beauty of the country's political , economic, cultural and social life. With thousands of entries from within the country and internationally, the award not only honors creativity but also contributes to building the image of a Vietnam full of positive energy.

The year 2025 marks a proud milestone when Vietnam rose to 46th place in the World Happiness Report – the highest ranking ever, up 19 places in just 2 years. This achievement is second only to Singapore in Southeast Asia, reflecting the Government’s efforts in improving the quality of life, ensuring human rights and promoting social solidarity.

A report from the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network highlights that this improvement comes from factors such as steady growth in GDP per capita, higher life expectancy, and strong levels of social support – values ​​that Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 will bring to life through experiential activities.

At the press conference on the afternoon of November 27, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said: Stretching from Le Thai To Street to Hang Khay Street through Dinh Tien Hoang Street and ending at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, the journey "The Road of Happiness" is like a flow of emotions, where each step opens a story, each small corner contains a miracle of Vietnamese life today.

It is a journey that touches the heart, a gentle reminder that happiness is always present in every look, smile and every moment of Vietnamese people's daily life. The opening ceremony will take place on December 6, with the presence of leaders of ministries and branches - opening a meaningful 3-day journey.

From December 5 to 7, 2025, the walking street space around Hoan Kiem Lake will transform into "Happiness Road" within the framework of the Vietnam Happiness Day 2025.

All the activities of the program are completely free and open to the public. Participants will go through 13 experience points like 13 emotional rhythms, musical notes of the journey "Road of Happiness".

Opening with the "Happiness Every Moment" Cinema Room, where audiences can sit back on rustic wooden chairs and immerse themselves in simple short films about family joy, passion for work, dedication and moments of community integration.

Next is the "Road of Happiness" photo exhibition, displaying more than 200 outstanding works from the Happy Vietnam Awards 2023-2025, with authentic perspectives captured by thousands of domestic and foreign photographers. This area is not only a place for admiration but also an interactive space, where visitors can send "happiness to tomorrow" through digital product display booths, turning personal memories into spreading messages.

For those who are passionate about photography, the "Prism of Happiness" Workshop will be a real paradise. During the two days of December 6-7 at the Ho Guom Cultural Information Center, practical workshops from experts will guide from professional camera techniques to everyday photos using mobile phones.

Participants can also experience the automatic photo booth, where every smile is captured forever, inspiring pride in an increasingly happier Vietnam. The creative challenges "Sculpting Happiness" encourage people to take photos, record videos or draw on the spot, turning the festival into a vibrant "visual heritage" created by the community itself.

However, the most touching highlight is the "Couple Day - Love is Happiness" Mass Wedding on the afternoon of December 6 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. The program honors 80 couples - a number inspired by the 80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness of the nation, the "More than Love" activity will honor 80 happy stories , typical love stories of Vietnamese couples. This is not only a mass wedding, but also a symbol of peace, of faith and lasting love in modern Vietnamese society.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, 80 couples will hold hands and walk down the aisle together - where their happiness blends with the happiness of a nation. Every moment of exchanging rings, smiles, and glances becomes a testament to a compassionate, connected, and loving Vietnam. "More than Love" is therefore not just an event, but a praise for love - the most solid foundation of a happy country. 80 couples from all over the country will participate in the mass wedding ceremony at the central stage. The event recreates the 80-year journey of building and defending independence, where the happiness of each family is nurtured by peace and freedom. Each love story is a slice of the belief, connection, and desire for happiness of the Vietnamese people today.

Participating couples will receive gifts from the Organizing Committee: makeup, wedding dresses, hand-held flowers, round-trip domestic air tickets, a 2-day-1-night honeymoon trip, a special gift set including jewelry, hand-embroidered ties and Tet gifts. All are sent as a meaningful blessing for the couples' marriage journey.

Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 also brings the music night "Vietnam Happy Concert 2025" on the evening of December 7, open to everyone for free. With the participation of talented young artists such as singer Bui Cong Nam, Lam Bao Ngoc and many special guests, the concert recreates the emotional journey of the nation through music, light and vivid images.

This is not only a grand art party but also an opportunity for the image of "Happy Vietnam" to shine, a new cultural mark, making Vietnam a destination of peace, happiness and humanity in the eyes of international friends.

The closing ceremony will conclude with the announcement of the Vietnam Happiness Symbol Video, which will be broadcast simultaneously on LED screens nationwide, bringing beautiful echoes of a nation always looking towards a bright future. Before that, on the evening of December 6, the Happy Vietnam 2025 awards ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV4 at 8:00 p.m., honoring the best works.
