On October 31, the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City announced that it had received notification of the results of the Vietnam Smart City Award 2023 from the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA).
According to the announcement, on October 28, the Vietnam Smart City Award 2023 Voting Council, chaired by Dr. Nguyen Quan, former Minister of Science and Technology, and 18 members, held a general voting conference for the award in Hanoi .
Based on the presentation round evaluation report, the council conducted a fair vote, in accordance with the criteria and regulations of the award and selected 35 nominees from a total of 80 nominees to award the Vietnam Smart City Award 2023.
Da Nang invests heavily in building smart city infrastructure
The Organizing Committee has selected to award the Smart City 2023 Award in the following areas: Smart city of operation, management, infrastructure, and public services; Smart, green, clean environmental management city; Attractive city for innovative startups.
In particular, based on the results achieved, the Final Selection Council also unanimously agreed to award the Smart City Award 2023 to Da Nang City. This is the only award for the group of cities/urban areas this year.
Thus, for the fourth consecutive time, Da Nang City has awarded the Vietnam Smart City Award. The announcement and award ceremony is expected to take place on the morning of November 30 at the National Convention Center.
Previously, on September 26, at the Smart City Forum in Seoul (Korea), Da Nang City also received the Seoul Smart City Prize. This award was selected and awarded by the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) and the Seoul City government.
