Binh Thuan province's 10th grade benchmark score: Some schools only have 6.25 points/3 subjects

On June 22, the Department of Education and Training of Binh Thuan province announced the results of admission to grade 10 of public high schools across the province for the 2025-2026 school year and announced the list of students admitted to Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted.

According to the announcement of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Thuan , the total number of students admitted to grade 10 of 24 public high schools in the province this time is 11,350 students.

Large difference in benchmark scores between schools

According to statistics, Phan Boi Chau High School (Phan Thiet City) has the largest number of successful candidates in the province with 938 students, the highest standard score for the second choice is up to 24 points (highest in the province). The standard score for the first choice is 15 points.

On the contrary, Nguyen Van Troi High School (Duc Linh District) has the lowest first-choice admission score in the province with 6.25 points. The second-choice admission score of this school is 6.50 points. However, the school still recruited enough 344 students according to the quota assigned by the Department of Education and Training.

Regarding enrollment scale, after Phan Boi Chau High School, schools with a large number of admitted students include: Tuy Phong High School (676 students), Ham Thuan Bac High School (677 students), Phan Chu Trinh High School (634 students) and Bac Binh High School (640 students).

Phan Boi Chau High School has the largest number of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year in the province.

On the contrary, Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Ham Tan District) has the smallest scale with only 172 admitted students, followed by Ham Tan High School (270 students) and Duc Tan High School (258 students).

Binh Thuan Department of Education and Training requires public high schools to widely announce admission results to students and parents; organize instructions on admission procedures in accordance with regulations.

District-level education and training departments are responsible for coordinating and supporting schools in implementing local enrollment activities. At the same time, schools need to complete reporting on enrollment results to the Department of Education and Training before August 8.

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Thuan, this year's enrollment period is organized in accordance with the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (Circular No. 30/2024); ensuring fairness, transparency and suitability for each locality.

Through the enrollment results, it shows that the allocation of quotas and benchmark scores among schools also reflects a reality, which is the difference in training needs and quality among regions in the province.

Hung Vuong Secondary School has an "overwhelming" number of students entering Tran Hung Dao Specialized High School.

Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted (Binh Thuan province) also announced the list of admitted students to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year with a total of 372 students in 9 specialized subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology, Literature (2 classes), History, Geography and English (2 classes).

According to the announced results, the English and literature specialized class has the largest number of successful candidates, with 2 classes for each subject, 35 students/class.

The IT class recruited the fewest students, 22. Notably, only physics had a candidate with a perfect score (10 points), while geography had the lowest score, 3 points.

According to the results, 77 students out of 372 students admitted to Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted this year are students from Hung Vuong Secondary School (Phan Thiet City). Although there are "overwhelming" numbers of students admitted to specialized schools, the top student in grade 10 of Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted this year is a student from the district. That is Le Bach Ha My, a student from Tan Nghia Secondary School, Ham Tan District, with an entrance score of 48.05 points for the specialized biology class.

The highest score in the two English classes was Trinh Gia An (Tran Phu Secondary School) with 44.55 points. The highest score among 70 students admitted to the literature subject was Nguyen Minh Thu (Ham Duc Secondary School, Ham Thuan Bac); the highest score in the math class was Le Do Thanh Phu (Hung Vuong Secondary School, Phan Thiet City) with 45.3 points; Tran Ho Bao Phuc, a student at Le Quy Don Primary, Secondary and High School (Phan Thiet City) had the highest entrance score in the physics class with 47.35 points and was the only student this year to score 10 points in the specialized subject.
