At Quy Nhon Stadium, Hanoi Club affirmed its strength with a 4-2 victory over Binh Dinh Club and won the runner-up title with 49 points (14 wins, 7 draws, 5 losses). The loss to Hanoi Club also officially "sent" the Binh Dinh team back to play in the first division when it ranked last in the rankings with 21 points.

The race to avoid the relegation play-off between Quang Nam FC and Da Nang FC was dramatic. Da Nang FC came from behind to win 2-1 against SLNA, but Quang Nam also drew with HAGL in the last minute.
