Boat capsized at sea, 1 fisherman died

On the afternoon of June 23, Mr. Bui Van Chuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Nam Ward (Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh Province) confirmed that a boat capsized at sea in the area, killing one fisherman.

According to initial information from Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thoai, Head of Minh Duc Residential Group (Ky Nam Ward), at around 6:00 a.m. on June 23, fisherman NVT (born in 1990) and fisherman N.D.D (born in 1982, son of Mr. Thoai), both residing in Minh Duc Residential Group, used a basket boat to exploit seafood in the sea area of ​​Ky Nam Ward.

At about 9 a.m. the same day, the two rowed a basket boat to shore, but when they were about 200 meters from shore, the basket boat suddenly capsized, causing fishermen NVT and N.D.D to fall into the sea.

After the incident, fisherman N.D.D was lucky to swim to shore and call for help.

Upon receiving the news, local authorities and functional forces coordinated with people and families to mobilize human resources and means to search for the victim.

At about 10:00 a.m. the same day, the victim NVT's body was found and brought to shore.

Victim NVT had a wife and 2 children, and his family was in difficult circumstances.
