In recent days, the temperature in Ha Tinh has dropped sharply in the evening and early morning, causing the demand for heating and drying equipment to increase sharply. At many electronics stores, the number of customers coming to buy lamps, heaters, dehumidifiers, clothes dryers, air purifiers, etc. has increased by 200-300%.
Many units said that this increase only appeared in the last 2-3 days, coinciding with the cold weather. Along with the increased demand are strong stimulus programs at the weekend with a reduction of 50-60%. Accordingly, the price of this product group fluctuates from 400,000 VND to nearly 2 million VND depending on the model.

At Dien May Xanh and The Gioi Di Dong stores on Ha Huy Tap Street (Thanh Sen Ward), the number of customers coming to buy goods has increased sharply, although the total consumption is not equal to the same period last year because this year's cold spell came later. Supermarket representatives said that the temperature difference between day and night has forced many families to buy heating equipment, especially for the elderly and children to avoid heat shock. Stores are constantly replenishing their inventory because many items are selling faster than expected.
"The previous prolonged rain caused dehumidifiers to sell out. Now that winter is coming and the weather is colder, we predict that heating devices will continue to increase sharply. New products are constantly updated to meet demand," said Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - manager of Dien May Xanh and The Gioi Di Dong.

Many individual customers also take advantage of the opportunity to find suitable equipment for their families during the cold weather. In particular, families with small children or the elderly actively look to buy fan heaters to keep warm when the temperature drops rapidly at night.
"The weather changes erratically and the cold comes quickly, so I want to prepare in advance for my children. Children are prone to cold at night, so my family prioritizes choosing safe heating devices that do not dry out the skin and are affordable," said Ms. Le Thi Uyen (Thanh Sen ward).
According to retailers, the two best-selling segments today are halogen bathroom heaters and ceramic heaters. Bathroom heaters cost between VND350,000 and VND650,000 depending on the number of bulbs and capacity, while ceramic heaters cost between VND1.4 and VND3 million per product.

Mr. Vo Chi Dai - CEO of Media Mart Ha Tinh region said: "Ceramic heating technology is popular because it is safe, radiates heat evenly, does not burn oxygen and does not dry the skin. Due to these advantages, the demand for ceramic heating products this year has increased significantly."
The brands that are preferred by consumers include Roler, FujiE, Kangaroo, Sunhouse, Rapido, Tiross... At Media Mart Tran Phu, the store has proactively transferred goods from the Hanoi warehouse, because the North always gets cold earlier, so the goods are available to meet the demand in time. The store representative said that the sales increase reached 300 - 400% compared to the same period last year, even though this year's cold season has just begun.
Along with direct purchasing power at stores, the online market has also become more vibrant as many retailers promote on social networks, livestream to introduce products and launch promotions according to time frames. Many stores said that the number of orders via Facebook, Zalo and e-commerce platforms increased sharply in the evening, the time when consumers need to find heating equipment to use immediately at night. Discount programs, free shipping, promotional combos... contributed to the rapid increase in online transactions, creating more heat for the cold season equipment market this year.

“Buying online helps me compare prices between many stores, see user reviews and choose the right model faster. However, this is an electronic device, used in the cold season so it needs to be absolutely safe. I always choose reputable units with clear warranties, avoid buying floating products to ensure quality and durability," said Mr. Phan Van Khai (Duc Tho commune).
In the context of strong weather changes, the demand for heating is forecasted to continue to increase in the coming time. Retail systems have proactively prepared goods with stimulus programs to meet people's needs, especially in safe, energy-saving equipment lines such as ceramic heaters, fan heaters and dehumidifiers.
