People were excited to catch a big silver carp.

At this time, in the area, there are dozens of people rowing small boats to deep water positions to set nets to catch big fish. On the edge of the rocky shore, taking advantage of the shallow water, many people also take advantage of setting nets to catch smaller fish.

Many fresh silver carp with large weight were caught.

In a short period of time, many people continuously caught black carp, white carp, mullet fish, climbing fish, etc. In particular, the largest quantity caught were black carp and white carp, in which each fish weighed on average from 3-8kg, the large fish weighed about 12-15kg.

Many people gathered in the downstream area of Ke Go Lake to catch fish.

Immediately after catching fish, many people sold the fish on the spot or brought them home. The lucky ones earned 2-3 million VND, the less fortunate earned a few hundred thousand VND.

Lucky person catches a lot of silver carp

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (57 years old, resident of Cam Due commune) said that after hearing the news that Ke Go lake would close its spillway, in the early afternoon of November 22, he and a neighbor quickly brought large nets and small boats to fish. After more than 2 hours, he caught about 60-70kg of black carp and white carp.

According to Mr. Hung, people living near Ke Go Lake came early so they caught many large silver carp, some weighing from 10-15kg.

Grass carp are caught and sold by local people right in the area.

According to residents of Cam Due commune, the prolonged rains have caused Ke Go lake to overflow. After the rains ended, from the afternoon of November 22, the management and operation unit closed the spillway. In Ke Go lake, in recent years, the authorities have released many types of fish, most of which are silver carp, to restore aquatic resources.

Therefore, every time the spillway is released, fish from the lake follow the water flow through the spillway and gather in an area right below the spillway. Then, when the spillway is closed, this is an opportunity for people to come and set nets to catch fish, earning extra income of millions in just a few hours.

The characteristics of Ke Go lake fish are freshwater, natural, big, fresh and delicious, favored by consumers so they are very popular. In the afternoon, many people caught over 100kg of fish.
