Severe weather, high school graduation exam '4 on-site'

The Minister of Education and Training has just issued an official dispatch requesting localities to respond to severe weather to safely organize the high school graduation exam.

In the face of heavy rain and thunderstorms in many localities and the possibility of continuing to occur during the high school graduation exam, which poses many potential risks, the Minister ofEducation and Training requested the exam steering committees of provinces and cities to update the weather, closely monitor the developments of floods, thunderstorms, storms and other extreme weather conditions.

Along with that, closely coordinate with the command committee for natural disaster prevention, control, search and rescue at all levels to have timely response plans.

The telegram noted that localities should develop plans to ensure exam safety according to the "4 on-site" motto, including on-site command, on-site logistics, on-site means, and on-site forces.

Specifically, it is necessary to review, inspect, and reinforce exam sites and rooms, ensure electricity, water, drainage systems, and safe conditions for exam organization.

Have a plan to relocate and reserve documents, machinery and equipment to a safe place to avoid damage caused by flooding and landslides, and prepare a backup exam location and exam room in case the official exam location and exam room are affected by natural disasters.

The Minister paid special attention to the plan for preserving exam papers and test papers before, during and after the exam; ensuring safety for staff and candidates.

"It is necessary to establish an information channel with parents and students to manage, guide and support candidates to move to the exam site safely, minimizing risks due to natural disasters. At the same time, there must be a plan and method to organize support for food and accommodation near the exam site for officials and candidates who live far away and have needs, especially officials and candidates who have to cross rivers, streams, ferries, roads at risk of flooding, landslides, etc. so that everyone can reach the exam site and take the exam safely" - the dispatch stated.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27. From June 25, candidates will gather at the exam site to complete exam registration procedures. This year is the first time that candidates studying the 2018 general education program will take the graduation exam with many innovations in exam methods, exam structure and related regulations...

The exam is intended to consider high school graduation, assess the quality of general education and allow training institutions to use exam results for enrollment.
