From June 8 to 18, at Tien Son Sports Palace, the Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the Vietnam Basketball Federation to organize the 2023 National 5x5 U16 Youth Basketball Championship.
The tournament brings together 4 women's teams including: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and District 5 Yourlife (Ho Chi Minh City). Meanwhile, the men's tournament has 17 participating teams including: District 1 (Ho Chi Minh City), Ha Noi Pitbulls, Eballs Ho Chi Minh City, ItalySport Nghe An, Thang Long Warriors xASA, Asport Ha Tinh, HNBA Hanoi, SXKT Hau Giang, Hanoi, Hanoi youth, Vinh Phuc Star, Thua Thien - Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, PKKQ, BDC Da Nang, Danaball Da Nang and Jumpshots Da Nang.
In the men's event, the Organizing Committee will draw lots and divide the competition into groups, while the women's tournament will be a round robin. This is a tournament within the national sports competition system to evaluate the development of the movement in provinces, cities, and units nationwide. At the same time, to search for and discover new factors to supplement the national youth basketball team, participating in international tournaments.
