Da Nang opens Bach Dang walking street

On the evening of June 7, the People's Committee of Hai Chau District held the opening ceremony of Bach Dang Walking Street (from Dragon Bridge to Tran Thi Ly Bridge, Hai Chau District, Da Nang ). Attending the event were Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh, Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Vo Cong Chanh, Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department Doan Ngoc Hung Anh, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department Le Van Trung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Thi Anh Thi and representatives of departments, branches, localities, and associations in the city.

At the program, many special activities were performed to serve the people and tourists such as: lion and dragon dance and drum performance, dance performance, art performance... Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh said that this is one of the big events, with important significance, contributing to promoting the development of the night economy and creating a highlight for the landscape space in the city.

Accordingly, Bach Dang walking street operates from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. every day, bringing to residents and visitors many unique cultural, artistic and street art activities; diverse and rich commercial and culinary services in a new, spacious and modern cultural space. The organization of the walking street pilot activity will also create a healthy community living environment combined with impressive commercial services.

Along the walking street, there are 5 clusters of mobile sales vehicles, each cluster has 3 vehicles and 3 clusters of sales kiosks, 5 check-in points with unique models, and public restrooms. In the walking street, there is a community space including stone benches and free WiFi stations. In particular, the walking route will connect with the walking route across Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and Tran Hung Dao Street, as well as across Dragon Bridge, becoming a tourist highlight for people and visitors to Da Nang city.
