The temperature in Da Nang is over 40 degrees Celsius, the main streets are deserted even though it is the April 30-May 1 holiday.

According to Dan Viet reporters, on the 4th day of the April 30-May 1 holiday, the weather in Da Nang was extremely hot. At noon, the temperature could reach 41 degrees Celsius, and people walking on the street felt the temperature reaching 44-45 degrees Celsius.

Main streets such as Nguyen Van Linh, Tran Hung Dao, Le Dinh Ly... have few vehicles passing through even though it is the 4/30-5/1 holiday.

The heat wave that has lasted for many days in Da Nang has caused residents and tourists to choose to stay at home or stay at a hotel to escape the heat.

People who have to go out are covered from head to toe with sun-protective shirts and skirts, sunglasses and masks.

Ms. Nguyen Thao Giang (from Kontum) shared: "My family and I came to Da Nang for the holiday, but the weather was so hot that we mostly just went out for coffee. If we wanted to go anywhere, we didn't leave the house until 5 p.m."

According to observations, most of the people participating in traffic on the road are foreign tourists, technology motorbike taxi drivers, and shippers.

Markets in the city are also quieter than usual.

The Tran Thi Ly bridge underpass area is deserted.

Da Nang beach is deserted on the morning of April 30.
