In response to information that people discovered bottles and blister packs of Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company 3 discarded on an empty lot on the side of the road in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward (Lien Chieu Ward, Da Nang City), on June 12, the city's Department of Health said it had sent staff to coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently investigate and handle the case.
For more information, Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy, Director of the Department of Health of Da Nang City, said that recently, in response to people's concerns about the widespread sale of fake drugs and fake functional foods on the market, the Department has planned to inspect drugs, cosmetics... during the peak month under the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Health .
Previously, on June 10, people discovered many bags containing unlabeled medicine bottles and discarded blister packs on an empty lot on Xuan Thieu 21 Street (Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District).
In particular, the blister packs clearly print the name "Cetecocenzitax 25mg" with an expiration date until August 2026.
This is the type of medicine that the Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has issued an official dispatch to announce and recall the Cetecocenzitax (Cinarizin 25mg) tablet product of Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company 3 due to not meeting quality standards. The name of the medicine matches the blister pack found on Xuan Thieu 21 Street.
Mr. Le Kim Nghia, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Hiep Nam Ward (Lien Chieu District) said that the amount of drugs that were dumped on the vacant land was initially verified to belong to Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company 3.
After receiving the information, the ward sent forces to cordon off the area; at the same time, coordinated with the police to investigate and verify the discarded drugs./.
