On July 22, Mr. Mai Van Muoi, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Health , signed a document to the People's Committees of communes, wards and medical examination and treatment facilities, requesting to strengthen management and compliance with the law.
According to the Department of Health, recently, many facilities and practitioners have been punished for serious violations.
Some facilities have used fake practice certificates, professional degrees, training certificates, practiced without a license, impersonated doctors, or operated medical examination and treatment without a license.

Notably, some facilities also provide services beyond the scope of their licenses, take advantage of advertising on social networks and use many tricks to deceive patients, causing risks of accidents and complications affecting public health.
To overcome this situation, the Da Nang Department of Health requires medical examination and treatment facilities and practitioners to strengthen propaganda and legal education, ensuring strict implementation of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023.
Facilities are only allowed to operate when fully meeting the prescribed conditions, including facilities, equipment, human resources, environmental sanitation, and are only allowed to perform techniques within the scope of operations and technical expertise list approved by the Department of Health or the Ministry of Health.
For facilities with foreign practitioners, it is necessary to review and strictly comply with regulations on work permits, use of workers in the right positions, registration and use of language in medical examination and treatment, as well as ensuring security and order.
People's Committees of communes and wards are required to increase communication so that people only use services at licensed facilities.
Previously, on July 15, Da Nang City Police prosecuted 7 subjects, including human resources managers and employees at Da Nang International General Clinic, for the crime of deceiving customers.
The four subjects temporarily detained are Truong Thi Ha Lien (born 1976), Nguyen Thi My (born 1985), Nguyen Kim Hoang Yen (born 1980) and Le Thi Nhung (born 1992).
Three subjects were banned from leaving their place of residence, including Truong Thi Kim Lua (born 1995), Vo Thanh Trung (born 1993) and Bui Thi Thuan (born 1994).
Initially, the investigation agency determined that Da Nang International General Hospital Joint Stock Company illegally profited nearly 376 million VND from 17 customers.
