Immediately after the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 120/KH-UBND, the Festival Organizing Committee and specialized subcommittees urgently deployed preparations on all aspects, from content, propaganda, logistics, festivities to health , security, order and fire prevention and fighting. Up to this point, the basic items have been completed, ready to open the festival on October 17.
The most notable new feature of this year's festival is that it is the first time the festival has been held after the merger of Kien Giang and An Giang provinces, opening a new phase in preserving and promoting the common heritage values of Rach Gia - An Giang. The organization is large-scale, synchronous and has close coordination between sectors and levels, clearly demonstrating the spirit of unity - connection - development. In addition to traditional rituals, the festival also has many cultural activities, OCOP product displays, tourism promotion and art performances... to create a vibrant atmosphere, spreading local cultural values to a large number of people and tourists.

- Mr. Le Trung Ho: The traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the sacrifice of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc is not only an occasion to remember and pay tribute to the great contributions of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc, who promoted the spirit of patriotism and fighting against foreign invaders - "When the West has uprooted all the grass in the South, then there will be no more Southern people fighting the West" but also an activity of special significance in educating the tradition of patriotism and fostering national pride for today's and future generations.
The greatest significance of this year's festival is the symbol of solidarity, harmony and community cohesion after the merger of Kien Giang and An Giang provinces, with the motto "One An Giang - One vision - One will - One belief in victory", joining hands to honor the historical and cultural values, land and people of An Giang. This is not only a festival of a locality but also a common festival of all the people of the Mekong Delta, where we express our feelings, beliefs and deep gratitude to our ancestors who sacrificed for the Fatherland.

This year, the work of mobilizing sponsorship and socialization received a very positive response from organizations, businesses and philanthropists inside and outside the province. In particular, people of Rach Gia ward and neighboring areas proactively participated in decorating, cleaning the environment, supporting the service of delegations of guests, contributing to creating a friendly, affectionate festival atmosphere imbued with community identity.

- Mr. Le Trung Ho: In the coming time, the province will continue to develop the traditional festival of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc's sacrifice into a typical traditional cultural tourism product, associated with a series of destinations such as: Sam Mountain, Ba The - Oc Eo, Cu Lao Gieng... to form an inter-regional cultural - historical tourism route. At the same time, the province will promote the application of digital technology in propaganda and promotion of heritage; at the same time, coordinate with provinces and cities in the region to expand the scale and influence of the festival.
The Provincial People's Committee issued directive documents, requesting provinces and cities to support propaganda work; communes, wards and special zones in the whole province have been simultaneously implementing visual propaganda, creating an exciting atmosphere towards the festival. The long-term goal is to turn the traditional festival of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc's sacrifice into a symbol of patriotism and the strength of people's solidarity.
