At the highland cultural space, Dien Bien Provincial Museum and districts, towns and cities have recreated the traditional cultural values of the ethnic groups of Dien Bien province through models of their ethnic houses, while performing folk songs, folk dances and introducing unique culinary culture to tourists.

Muong Nhe District is located in the far west of the country, far from the administrative center of Dien Bien province, known for the Vietnam - Laos - China border junction, and is the only district in the province where the Ha Nhi ethnic community lives. Coming to the highland cultural space, Muong Nhe District brings the space of the Ha Nhi people's rammed earth houses with colorful traditional costumes and typical dances of the Ha Nhi people in the Muong Nhe border. With the uniqueness and uniqueness in costumes and dances, the Ha Nhi cultural space of Muong Nhe District has attracted a large number of tourists to visit and experience.

Mr. Ta Van Son, Chairman of Muong Nhe District People's Committee, said that Muong Nhe is a locality with many ethnic groups, including ethnic minorities such as Ha Nhi, Si La, and Cong. In recent years, the Party Committee of Muong Nhe District has always paid attention to preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups in the area, especially preserving the dances, costumes, and festivals of ethnic groups. With the cultural space of the highlands, this is also an opportunity for Muong Nhe District to promote the typical cultural features of the locality, impressing tourists and developing tourism in the future.

In Muong Ang district, this locality brings a cultural space of traditional dances combined with the gong sounds of the Khmu people. Because they represent the life of labor and production, the dance movements of the Khmu people are often strong, decisive, and lively. The stronger and faster the gong sounds, the stronger the dancers' hand-held props such as bamboo tubes hit the ground, the more hurried the dance rhythm, creating a lively atmosphere, attracting everyone to join in the dance.

Mr. Quang Van Ca, Ang To commune, Muong Ang district said that the dances of the Kho Mu people convey thoughts, feelings, and wishes for health, bountiful harvests, and favorable weather. Through movements and music, the Kho Mu people urge and encourage each other to strive to overcome all difficulties, to be attached to the fields, and to love labor and production. At the same time, they also express the desire for love between couples, solidarity, and community spirit. With its humanity, rich meaning, and differences, the traditional dance art of the Kho Mu people preserves, conserves, and promotes its value in modern life.

With 10 districts, towns, and cities and 19 ethnic groups living together, each locality and each ethnic group brings a cultural space with its own unique characteristics from costumes, dances, etc., creating an impression that attracts a large number of tourists from inside and outside the province to come and see and experience.

Ms. Nguyen Vu Hien Anh, a tourist from Hai Duong province, shared that this was the first time she came to Dien Bien during the Ban Flower Festival. She was able to immerse herself in the unique highland cultural space that she had never seen before, and she felt extremely excited and delighted. The cultural features from the costumes and dances were all very new and attractive, making her excited and wanting to dance to the sound of drums and gongs.

According to Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang, the highland cultural space and the activities of displaying, introducing, and promoting cultural and tourism products are the highlights of this year's Festival. In particular, the highland cultural space aims to recreate the colorful cultural space and community activities. Thereby contributing to preserving, honoring and promoting traditional cultural values; promoting the potential, strengths, cultural and tourism products, the characteristics of nature, people, and traditional cultural values of the people of Dien Bien province. In addition, creating opportunities for localities, businesses, and cooperatives to introduce products, traditional crafts, destinations, tourism products and services; OCOP products, agricultural products, traditional craft village products, local specialties, etc.

The exhibition and introduction of cultural and tourism products in the 2024 Ban Flower Festival will have the participation of 23 provinces and cities across the country with over 90 booths. Thereby, contributing to strengthening connections and cooperation in building, developing as well as promoting and advertising tourism products between localities.

Within the framework of the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien and the Ban Flower Festival 2024, Dien Bien province also organizes many activities such as: Thai Xoe Art Festival and Mong Panpipe Art Festival; exchange activities, sports competitions; folk game experience activities; traditional costumes of ethnic groups; Photo contest "Sparkling Ban Flower Land"; Live show "Uva Legend"... The activities will take place from March 16 to March 18, 2024, promising to bring many rich and attractive experiences, bearing the typical beauty of nature, culture and history of Dien Bien - Northwest and some localities in the country.
