Provincial People's Council delegates meet voters of Thuong Xuan district

On the afternoon of June 4, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council, including Mr. Cao Van Cuong, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Cam Ba Lam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Thuong Xuan District Party Committee; Luong Thi Luu, Secretary of the Bat Mot Commune Party Committee, met with voters of Thuong Xuan district before the 20th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.

Delegate Cam Ba Lam, Standing Deputy Secretary of Thuong Xuan District Party Committee, reported briefly on the province's socio -economic situation in the first 5 months of 2024, tasks and solutions to implement key tasks in the last months of 2024.

After listening to the representative of the delegation announce the expected content and program of the 20th Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council; report on the results of handling opinions and recommendations of voters and people sent to the sessions of the 18th Provincial People's Council and summarize the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 5 months of 2024, tasks and solutions to implement tasks in the last months of 2024, voters of Thuong Xuan district expressed their joy and excitement, and at the same time highly appreciated the close and timely leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee in all fields.

Voters in Thuong Xuan district have made many recommendations on local issues and proposed that the State have mechanisms and policies to stimulate localities to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas; support cement for villages and hamlets to build inter-village and intra-field roads; and have mechanisms and policies to support part-time cadres in neighborhoods, villages and hamlets.

Voters also reported that some projects in Tho Thanh commune have had their land cleared for many years but have not yet started construction; the ditch along Provincial Road 519 through Thuong Xuan town has deteriorated and has not been upgraded, affecting people's travel and the local socio-economic development; sand mining enterprises in Xuan Duong commune have caused landslides on agricultural land, affecting traffic infrastructure and polluting the environment.

In addition, voters suggested that the province have solutions to research new high-yield varieties to provide for production; continue to pay attention to policies and regimes for the elderly...
