On March 25, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council organized the program "Dialogue between Provincial People's Council delegates and children" in Gia Lai province in 2025. This is a program organized annually by the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council from 2018 to present, with the desire to promote the implementation of the 2016 Law on Children, the right of children to participate in local children's issues, creating conditions for children to express their voices.

This year, the program is organized with the theme "Creating a safe environment for Gia Lai children when going to school".

Attending the program were: Representatives of the Provincial People's Committee; Standing members of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Council Committees, delegates of the Provincial People's Council; representatives of the provincial departments, branches and sectors; representatives of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front... and 200 outstanding children from 17 districts, towns and cities representing children in the whole province.

At the program, delegates and children watched a report on the results of the implementation of child protection, care and education work; listened to a summary report on the results of the implementation of the conclusion of the program of contact and dialogue between delegates of the Provincial People's Council and children of Gia Lai in 2024.

Accordingly, in recent years, Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches and organizations have always paid attention to prioritizing resources for the care, education and protection of children, ensuring better and better the rights of children, creating conditions for children in the area to develop comprehensively in all aspects.

Children 's recommendations at the program "Contact and dialogue between provincial People's Council delegates and children" in Gia Lai province in 2024 were listened to, accepted and answered by departments, branches and sectors within their authority; at the same time, based on their functions and tasks, many solutions and activities were implemented to solve problems for children in the province.

A representative of the Public Security sector answered questions about the group of issues of preventing children from using stimulants and drugs; preventing the sale of explosives and firecracker materials...

At the program of contact and dialogue between the Provincial People's Council delegates and children in 2025, the children actively exchanged and discussed and made 24 recommendations with 8 groups of issues related to: school violence, extra teaching, extra learning, life skills; cyberspace safety, management of internet use, social networks, official information; malnutrition rate of children in remote areas; child abuse and violence; prevention of children using stimulants and drugs; prevention of the sale of explosives and firecracker materials; violations of the Road Traffic Law; child kidnapping; prevention and control of smoking; sale of unsafe food in front of school gates; prevention and control of drowning in children; preservation of traditional cultural identity of the nation; child marriage in ethnic minority areas...

There were 24 questions in 8 groups of issues raised by students at the dialogue.

In a frank and open spirit, the People's Council delegates and leaders of departments, branches and sectors listened to, received and thoroughly answered the children's questions, and at the same time proposed solutions in the coming time to address the children's opinions and recommendations.

Speaking at the meeting and dialogue, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung requested departments, branches and sectors to thoroughly listen, absorb and fully answer the contents under their authority, and at the same time, based on the assigned functions and tasks, effectively implement the groups of issues that children are interested in at today's contact program as well as other contents related to the Law on Children 2016, contributing to the good implementation of the content of the theme of this year's contact program, which is "Creating a safe environment for Gia Lai children when going to school".
