DTO - On May 9, at the Youth Activity Center of Dong Thap province (Cao Lanh city), the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, and the Department of Finance organized the Launching Ceremony of the Dong Thap Province Startup and Innovation Competition 2025. Attending the launching ceremony were representatives of leaders of provincial departments and branches.

With the theme “Green Startup - Digital Technology - Sustainable Development”, this year’s Competition continues to affirm its role as a practical playground, inspiring creativity, discovering and supporting the realization of ideas and potential business models among young people and the community. The Competition aims to select startup projects that apply technology and innovative solutions, contributing to the development of the green economy, enhancing the value of local products, responding to climate change, promoting digital transformation and building a sustainable startup ecosystem in the province.
Accordingly, the Contest is open to Vietnamese citizens who have startup projects that are or can be implemented in Dong Thap province (within 5 years of operation). This year’s Contest encourages projects in the following fields: clean, organic, circular agriculture; services - tourism associated with local identity; information technology, digital transformation; environmental protection, climate change response, etc.
Deadline for receiving application documents is May 30, 2025; preliminary round from June 10, 2025; semi-final round expected June 30, 2025; final round expected July 20, 2025.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Comrade Huynh Minh Thuc - Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Startup and Innovation Competition 2025 emphasized: "This year's competition not only continues to discover and nurture creative ideas, but also strongly spreads the spirit of green startups and innovation among young people associated with the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Action Program No. 94-CTr/TU of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee..."
