Strengthening comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Russia in science, technology and innovation

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung and Minister Valery Nikolaevich Falkov exchanged the Cooperation Agreement on organizing the selection of joint scientific research projects.

Previously, at the working session between the two Ministers, the two sides specifically discussed the implementation and expansion of joint research cooperation programs; establishing a connection mechanism between research institutes and universities of the two countries; and establishing a Joint Working Group of the two Ministries to support institutes, schools and technology enterprises of the two countries in developing cooperation projects.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom signed a cooperation agreement on the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes. The two sides will strengthen training programs, capacity building and research cooperation in this field.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung and Rosatom General Director Alexey Likhachev exchanged the Cooperation Agreement.

Promoting the potential and strengths of each country, Vietnam and the Russian Federation agreed to prioritize the use of resources to expand cooperation programs in science, technology and innovation, contributing to consolidating and developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries./.
