(Dan Tri) - Ngo Van Hieu - the main character in the fairy tale "10 years carrying a friend" to school, continues to move many people when he traveled nearly 100km to Hanoi to carry his friend onto the stage of the University of Science and Technology to receive his graduation certificate.

When the name Nguyen Tat Minh was announced at the graduation ceremony on the afternoon of May 10 of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, backstage, Ngo Van Hieu carried Minh on his shoulder as he walked up to receive his diploma.

The whole hall seemed to burst into tears as the everyday fairy tale "10 years of carrying you" was recreated on the graduation stage of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

It is known that today, Minh received a degree of honors in Computer Science , with a CPA score of 3.23/4.

Ngo Van Hieu continued to carry his best friend Nguyen Tat Minh, as he had done during his 10 years of high school in Thanh Hoa .

Nguyen Tat Minh was born into a poor family (in hamlet 1, Dong Thang commune, Trieu Son, Thanh Hoa).

Minh was born with a disability in his legs, unable to walk, and his right arm cannot move to hold or grasp.

For 10 years, Hieu volunteered to be Minh's legs to help him go to school. With Hieu by his side, Minh seemed to have more strength and faith in life.

Throughout their studies, Minh and Hieu were always excellent students of the school. Both were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training, and met and received gifts from the President.

In the 2020 high school graduation exam, Nguyen Tat Minh passed the entrance exam to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, while Ngo Minh Hieu scored 28.15 points and was admitted to Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy after failing his first choice to enter Hanoi Medical University due to a lack of 0.25 points.

For over 4 years, Hieu and Minh have kept in touch. During the first two years of university, when he did not have to attend clinical classes at the hospital, Hieu often took advantage of his free time to visit Minh in Hanoi.

In the past two years, because he had to study theory at school, study clinical, and go on duty and go to practice, Hieu saw Minh less often, but the two still shared about life and study.

Hieu said he hopes Tat Minh will continue to attend his graduation ceremony at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy next year.

In this May graduation, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has nearly 3,000 students graduating, of which 98 people achieved excellent results (accounting for 3%), nearly 540 students achieved good results (18%), the rest were fair and average.
