The rice variety chosen to create the image of two carps jumping over the dragon gate is Thai Xuyen, with the characteristics of hard plants, good resistance to pests and diseases, and suitable for the local climate and soil.

Artist Nguyen Phuc Khoi, who was assigned to create the painting, said that the carp jumping over the dragon gate is a symbol of success and progress in life. The carp is also considered a symbol of longevity and luck.

At present, the rice in Tam Coc fields is blooming, growing well and promises to ripen by the end of May, right in time for the Ninh Binh Tourism Week "Tam Coc - Trang An Golden Color" in 2025.
