According to the latest announcement from TripAdvisor, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh) has won the title of "Best of the Best" - the highest category of the Travellers' Choice Awards 2025 system, for the best 1% of destinations in the world .
The “Best of the Best” award is a clear demonstration of the capacity to manage, preserve and promote the value of Trang An World Cultural and Natural Heritage, affirming the Ninh Binh brand on the global tourism map.
Along with Trang An, two other famous destinations of Ninh Binh , Tam Coc-Bich Dong and Bai Dinh Pagoda, were also awarded the title "Travellers' Choice - Outstanding Destination in 2025" by TripAdvisor, ranking in the top 10% of the most popular destinations in the world.
Previously, Ninh Binh was named "Asia's Leading Emerging Destination" at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Asia and Oceania 2025 ceremony held on the evening of October 13, in Hong Kong (China).

According to the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, these are important milestones, demonstrating the persistent efforts of the Ninh Binh tourism industry in enhancing the destination brand, sustainable development and international integration.
In the first 9 months of 2025, Ninh Binh welcomed 16.8 million visitors, an increase of 27.9% over the same period in 2024; tourism revenue reached nearly 17.9 trillion VND.
With outstanding results and prestigious international awards, Ninh Binh is gradually affirming its position as a center of heritage-ecological-cultural-religious tourism in Vietnam and Southeast Asia; aiming to welcome 30 million visitors by 2030, including at least 5 million international visitors, becoming a leading destination in the region and the world.
Hoa Lu land of Ninh Binh was chosen as the first capital of Vietnam and is one of the four important core areas of the Trang An World Heritage complex recognized by UNESCO.
Featuring towering limestone mountains, tranquil rivers and sacred, mysterious historical and religious relics, the “hidden gem” Ninh Binh is the perfect destination for nature-loving and adventure-seeking tourists who want to see a different side of Vietnam tourism.
Only about 100km from Hanoi, Ninh Binh is a suitable choice for tourists who do not have much time but want to explore majestic nature.
Ninh Binh attracts tourists at all times of the year but is most beautiful in Spring and Summer, with many unique and attractive festivals, or enchanting scenes such as golden rice fields or fragrant lotus ponds.

Coming to this land, tourists have many options to explore, from historical destinations such as Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Bich Dong Pagoda, Phat Diem Stone Church... to wild natural landscapes such as Thung Nham Bird Garden, Cuc Phuong National Park, Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve, Trang An Scenic Area...
Hoa Lu ancient capital was once the capital of Vietnam, through 3 dynasties: Dinh-Tien Le-Tien Ly. This is one of the four core areas of the Trang An World Heritage complex recognized by UNESCO.
Here, visitors visit the temple of King Dinh (Dinh Tien Hoang), King Le (Le Dai Hanh) and the museum preserving relics.
Afterwards, visitors can take a boat down the Ngo Dong River to explore the scenic spot Tam Coc-Bich Dong. Tam Coc means three caves including Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba. Tam Coc is stunningly beautiful in the eyes of visitors with towering limestone mountains, along with the strange formations in the caves and the golden rice fields on both sides.
Next, visitors can visit Bich Dong Pagoda - "Nam Thien De Nhi Dong," where the moss-covered gate and an ancient bridge across the lotus pond can be seen from above.
Another destination that is hard to miss is Hang Mua. Visitors can admire the entire beautiful scenery of Ninh Binh with winding rivers, rice fields and majestic mountains. After climbing 500 steps, the whole view of “Ha Long Bay on land” appears before your eyes, and this is also the time to own wonderful natural photos.
In addition, visiting Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve or taking a boat trip at Trang An scenic area are also extremely attractive activities.
Van Long is known as the "bay without waves" because when taking a boat on the lagoon, visitors will see the water surface flat without a ripple. The water is not blue like the sea, but clear, revealing layers of moss underneath.
This is also the place that holds two records of the Vietnam Book of Records Center in 2010: having the largest number of Delacour’s langurs and having the largest natural picture. Meanwhile, Trang An attracts tourists with its majestic mountain scenery, winding small rivers, and wild valleys./.
