Dong Quang commune's appearance is increasingly spacious and clean.

Thoroughly grasping the spirit of "Solidarity - Responsibility - Creativity - Development", right from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, Dong Quang commune has entered into the task of implementing many drastic and synchronous solutions to mobilize all resources for socio-economic development. Taking agriculture as the foundation for development, on the green fields, the irrigation and drought-resistant canal system has been invested in and solidly built by the commune. Implementing the land consolidation policy of the local Party Committee and government, the small and fragmented fields in the past have been converted into large-scale fields and specialized areas for commodity production applying science and technology, so productivity, quality and efficiency have been increasingly improved... In 5 years, the whole commune has converted 29.5 hectares of ineffective rice land to higher-value crops, reaching 147.5% of the congress resolution target and 109% compared to the assigned plan; At the same time, the large-scale field in Van Ba ​​village with an area of ​​30 hectares was effectively maintained. Thanks to that, the commune's total annual average grain output reached 4,103 tons. Livestock farming developed with 21 farms meeting the criteria, achieving 150% of the congress resolution target.

Playing an important role in the economy, industrial production, small-scale industry, and construction have grown positively. The average growth rate of industrial production value in the period of 2020-2025 reached 41.47%, exceeding the target of the congress resolution. In industrial development, Dong Quang commune has attracted Anh Vi Leather Shoe Company, SUNSHINI Export Garment Company, and Concrete 36 Enterprise to invest in the locality, creating jobs for many workers. Along with that, enterprises have developed rapidly in both quantity and scale. During the term, Dong Quang commune has established 21 new enterprises, an increase of 105%, exceeding the set target, bringing the total number of enterprises in the commune to 67. In addition, the commune also has 130 households trading in stone cladding in provinces and cities across the country, with annual revenue of over 120 billion VND.

Services and trade have developed rapidly, diversified in types with an average production value growth rate of 35.57% in the 2020-2025 period. Dong Quang people are dynamic, creative, and know how to seize opportunities to develop the economy by introducing many new occupations. In particular, the ham processing industry has created stable jobs for more than 200 local workers, with a revenue of more than 20 billion VND/year; Tam Thu cinnamon ham products have been recognized as OCOP at the provincial level. The industry structure has shifted in the right direction, so people's lives have improved significantly, with an estimated average income per capita in 2025 of 72.9 million VND/person, an increase of 26.9 million VND compared to 2020, exceeding the set target by 104%.

In 2017, Dong Quang was recognized as a commune that met the new rural standards. From practical experience, "stopping means falling short of the standard, slow change means being left behind", the 19th Party Congress of the commune, term 2020-2025, Dong Quang determined to successfully build an advanced new rural commune by 2023. In the journey of building an advanced new rural commune, cadres and party members of Dong Quang commune always uphold the responsibility of setting an example, creating a strong spread, attracting a large number of people from all walks of life to contribute their efforts and money, joining hands with local Party committees and authorities to change the face of the countryside.

Thanks to the good implementation of the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people contribute, people enjoy", many families have actively donated land to build roads, contributed working days, and funds to build village cultural houses, residential drainage ditches, and upgrade roads and canals in the fields. Of the 275.6 billion VND for the construction of advanced new rural areas of the whole commune, up to 101.3 billion VND was contributed by the people. In addition, the people voluntarily donated 4,557 working days and 5,361m2 of land to expand roads. Dong Quang children who work, live, work, and study in all parts of the country have also contributed to building their homeland to develop more and more. Thanks to that, 6/6 cultural houses and sports areas have been renovated and repaired; 6/6 villages have been recognized as model villages. In 2022, Dong Quang achieved advanced NTM standards, 1 year earlier than planned.

Coming to Dong Quang today, the beautiful, vibrant picture is decorated by high-rise buildings springing up close together; modern, solid high-rise buildings have been formed; schools, medical stations, and communal offices have been built spaciously with full teaching, medical examination and treatment and working equipment, better meeting the requirements of serving the people. The Party's leadership role has been affirmed, the people's trust in the Party has been multiplied, the democratic spirit has been increasingly promoted, which is a great source of strength for Dong Quang to become brighter, greener, cleaner, and more beautiful, and the people's lives have been constantly improved.
