Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry uses transcript scores for admission in 2025

In 2025, the school will enroll students nationwide at its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City and its Quang Ngai branch with a total target of more than 10,300 students for 64 undergraduate majors/specializations.

At the headquarters, in addition to the three familiar methods of direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , admission using the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University, and admission based on high school exam scores, the school has opened an additional admission method using high school study results in grade 12 combined with outstanding achievements (if any).
This is a new point compared to previous years when the school only used 12th grade transcripts.

Admission principles are based on the average score of the entire 12th grade transcript of 3 subjects in the admission group (subjects included in the admission group of the corresponding admission major) and outstanding achievements (if any) or candidates are in the top high schools that have signed cooperation agreements with IUH.
The threshold for receiving applications is the total score of 3 subjects (without coefficient, without adding priority points, without adding outstanding achievement points) in the admission combination of at least 21 points.

For the pharmaceutical industry, the threshold for receiving applications is a total score of 3 subjects in the admission group of at least 24 points and a grade 12 academic record of excellent.

For the law group, the minimum admission score for math and literature is 6 points.
Bonus points for candidates with outstanding achievements are calculated at 1-3 points.

At Quang Ngai branch, the school uses 4 methods as at the Ho Chi Minh City headquarters.

The school notes that students studying at Quang Ngai Branch receive a 50% tuition reduction and enjoy all benefits as students at the main campus.

The difference in the branch is that the threshold for receiving applications for admission using high school academic results in grade 12 combined with outstanding achievements (if any) is reduced to 19 points.

The threshold for receiving application documents using the results of the Competency Assessment Exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 is at least 600 points (without coefficient, without adding priority points).
The school will announce the threshold for receiving application documents using high school graduation exam results immediately after the 2025 high school graduation exam results from the Ministry of Education and Training are available.

The school said that candidates use foreign language certificates to convert into English subjects.

In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry will enroll 8,000 students. The two majors with the highest admission scores are international business and economic law with 26 points, along with many majors with benchmark scores of 24 points or more. The major with the lowest benchmark score is 18 points.

In 2023, the school's benchmark for considering high school graduation exam results is 18-26 for majors in Ho Chi Minh City, and 17 for the Quang Ngai branch.
