FPT University is implementing the program "Applying AI in Teaching at High Schools" to support the teaching work of more than 10,000 teachers nationwide.
Mr. Ho Hai, Head of the Information Security Department at FPT University, shared that the development of artificial intelligence (AI) brings many opportunities in education, such as personalized education, optimization of teaching and learning processes, and development of 21st-century skills. However, this technology also creates many major challenges, such as a lack of ethical principles, data security issues, insufficient infrastructure and resources, and issues of equality in education.
Therefore, FPT University is implementing the "Application of AI in Teaching at High Schools" program with the goal of supporting high school teachers in using AI tools in their teaching. To date, the program has organized two courses in the first two months of the year, attracting more than 3,000 high school teachers from various provinces and cities and receiving much positive feedback.
The first course, launched on January 25th, consisted of four sessions attended by approximately 350 high school teachers in Binh Dinh province and neighboring provinces. The subsequent course, which began on February 27th and continues to this day, comprises four sessions held in February and March. The number of participants in this course is ten times higher than the previous one, reaching approximately 3,000 high school teachers in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.

The courses in the "Application of AI in High School Teaching" program have diverse content. In addition to information on the current context and AI tools, the sessions focus more deeply on practical application. Through this, teachers can grasp and proficiently use the tools, applying them to their teaching work.
Specifically, in the first session, FPT University introduced AI, Chat GPT and Gamma tools; the benefits and challenges of using them in education and information security issues. Following this, experts guided participants on creating lesson plans, curricula, and mind maps using Chat GPT; how to optimize and personalize curricula; evaluating the quality and applicability; and creating prompts for Chat GPT to build lesson plans, curricula, and mind maps.

By the third session, teachers learned how to apply AI to create exam questions, assessments, and share information on ethics and risks. At the end of the course, experts guided participants in creating MyGPTs for education; provided an overview of how to create a custom ChatGPT model; and guided participants through the steps of creating MyGPTs, from data collection and dataset to model training, and practical exercises.
"Applying AI in teaching at high schools" is part of the "FPT University for the Community" project. Prior to this, since 2022, the university has also carried out many other humanitarian activities: Bringing traditional music to high schools, teaching English to the community, teaching drawing to the community, etc.
