Enhancing AI application capacity in key areas
“Practical AI” - the first artificial intelligence competition on national television and also a key AI program nationwide - is about to reach the final round.
In the latest episode, the teams entered the competition with the topic "Building a bank's financial report", with guest judge from Techcombank - Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of Technology Division.
Here, Techcombank's CIO revealed four steps to turn an idea from data into a complete AI solution, and shared the role of businesses in the journey of nurturing a generation of Vietnamese AI talents.
Sitting in the hot seat of episode 4 of “AI in action”, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that the products presented in this round have shown the teams’ practical capabilities; demonstrated good working mindset, knowing how to utilize AI tools to solve problems not only within the framework of the competition, but also in reality. If provided with more data and time, the initiatives will have more depth and higher applicability.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that the products presented in the competition table show the real-life capabilities of the teams.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said that to effectively solve an AI problem, it is necessary to go through four steps: collecting data, analyzing data, proposing solutions and completing reports.
In which, the first two steps play a key role, determining the quality of the solution and the final result.
“AI can help us analyze data in depth, identify 'blind spots' that humans have difficulty covering. Thanks to that, businesses can come up with comprehensive solutions and make more accurate decisions for their business operations,” said Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan.
A recent report by AWS-Strand Partners 2025 shows that the speed of AI application in businesses in Vietnam is increasing rapidly at a rate of 39% per year.
Nearly 170,000 businesses in Vietnam have applied AI and 77% of them expect AI to help increase revenue within the next year. Accordingly, technology becomes a launching pad for the overall development of businesses.
" Any business that has a practical mindset and can proactively use data in the rapidly developing AI era will certainly win and master the business game, " Mr. Tuan added.
