Duc Long Gia Lai supports 1.2 billion VND to help localities overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

On the afternoon of December 5, at the Standing Office of the Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province, Duc Long Gia Lai Group Joint Stock Company donated 1.2 billion VND to support the locality in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.

At the donation ceremony, Mr. Pham Van Binh, representative of Duc Long Gia Lai Group Joint Stock Company, said that this is an activity demonstrating the spirit of social responsibility and sharing of the enterprise with the community, contributing to the locality in taking care of the lives of people affected by natural disasters.

At the reception, Ms. Tran Thi Hao, Deputy Chief of Office of the Gia Lai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, expressed her appreciation for the noble gesture of Duc Long Gia Lai Group Joint Stock Company. The funding will be prioritized for heavily damaged areas to restore infrastructure, support people to repair houses, reproduce and stabilize their lives.

Storm No. 13, accompanied by heavy rain and floods, has caused severe damage in Gia Lai, with total estimated damage of more than 11,600 billion VND. In recent days, the province has mobilized maximum forces and implemented many urgent solutions to overcome the situation, but the extent of damage is too great, beyond the ability to balance the budget and local resources.

In that context, the cooperation of businesses, including Duc Long Gia Lai Group, is an important source of encouragement, contributing to helping the province soon restore production, stabilize people's lives and ensure social security after the storm.

The "double" natural disaster damaged or flooded more than 100,000 houses in Gia Lai province; damaged 560 boats; completely destroyed more than 540 hectares of aquaculture area and 254 rafts. Thousands of hectares of rice and crops were damaged; many livestock and poultry were swept away... Total damage is estimated at more than 11,600 billion VND.
