The event, co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), took place from December 4-7 at AEON Binh Tan Shopping Center.
According to ITPC, the activity aims to support local businesses to expand their access to consumers in the modern retail system, improve production capacity and target export markets. This year's displayed items focus on food, cosmetics, household goods, handicrafts, textiles and footwear, with the criteria of being environmentally friendly and achieving OCOP certification of 3 stars or more.
The organizers said that the selected participating enterprises must meet strict screening criteria, demonstrate competitiveness, clear product profiles and sustainable development potential. This is an important preparation step for Vietnamese enterprises to go deeper into the retail supply chain and build long-term brands.
Mr. Tran Phu Lu, Director of ITPC, shared that strengthening the connection between domestic enterprises and large distribution systems is the key solution to create sustainable output for Vietnamese agricultural products and goods. "The domestic market with nearly 100 million people is a great potential, but to exploit it effectively, enterprises need to meet increasingly high requirements on standards, traceability and environmental factors," Mr. Lu said.

Mr. Takeuchi Takashi - Deputy General Director of AEON Vietnam Office Division, said that in the sustainable development policy, AEON Vietnam plays the role of a bridge between suppliers, manufacturers and customers, contributing to promoting strong links in the supply chain, accompanying Vietnamese manufacturers and suppliers in improving competitiveness.
In addition to displaying products, the supermarket system also organizes supply-demand connection activities (B2B) to help businesses meet directly with the purchasing department of retail systems, exchange needs and cooperation opportunities. It is expected that more than 50 potential new suppliers will be introduced this year. Each year, about more than 400 new products are introduced to consumers.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Trade , in recent years, Vietnamese agricultural and food products have increasingly been prioritized by domestic consumers thanks to promotional programs, fairs and consumption connections. OCOP-certified products not only affirm their quality but also become a "passport" to help businesses expand their markets, especially in the context of modern trade requiring transparency, traceability and sustainable production.
