According to Hanoi National University, shortening the training time for high-quality human resources at university level according to international standards to 3 years aims to realize the national strategy for developing science , technology and innovation, implementing Resolution 57.

Hanoi National University has coordinated with member units and consulted the experiences of advanced universities to develop its own training regulations.

Accordingly, the standard training period will be 3 years, with a flexible learning structure of 3 semesters per year, allowing students to adjust their learning progress and personalize their learning path. For excellent students, the completion time can be shortened to 2.5 years.

For students with outstanding abilities, the program can also be expanded to a direct link to the doctoral level to develop a team of young scientists who meet international standards.

The training program is designed with an international integration orientation. In addition to political theory and general knowledge courses taught in Vietnamese, most specialized courses, including the graduation thesis, will be taught entirely in English.

To shorten training time, the school will promote the application of digital technology, especially artificial intelligence, in both teaching and learning. Forms of learning organization are diversified, combining direct learning, online learning, group work, supervised self-study or completely individualized according to each student's ability.

Students in the program will participate in research groups led by lecturers, thereby early forming research thinking and long-term academic development orientation.

Previously, Hanoi National University has implemented a talent incubation program from high school level (VNU 12+). Students participating in VNU 12+ will have the opportunity to continue studying international standard university programs.

Hanoi National University currently has 12 member schools, enrolling more than 20,000 students this year - the largest training scale in the country.

Currently, Hanoi National University has not announced the time to apply the 3-year bachelor's training program.
