Hanoi Pedagogical University applies 5 admission methods

Hanoi National University of Education has just officially announced its enrollment plan for 2024. Accordingly, the school still offers many opportunities for candidates to be admitted based on their academic records.

Specifically, in 2024, Hanoi Pedagogical University plans to enroll about 4,400 students through 5 methods.

Method 1 (PT1) is to use the results of the high school graduation exam. Candidates applying for admission using this method must have good conduct in 3 years of high school or more.

Method 2 (PT2) is direct admission, applied to candidates with good conduct, excellent academic performance for all 3 years, and meeting one of the following conditions:

Participated in national excellent student selection exams; students of specialized schools or high schools under Hanoi Pedagogical University and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University;

Won first, second, third prizes in provincial and city-level excellent student competitions; have international language certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, TOEIC (English); DELF, TCF (French); HSK, HSKK (Chinese); MOS international computer certificate.

Method 3 (PT3) is to consider high school transcripts according to the subjects in the admission combination for each major. For teacher training majors, candidates must have good conduct and excellent academic performance in all semesters, except for Technology Education major, which only requires good academic performance in grade 12.

For non-pedagogical majors, the criteria are good academic performance and conduct. Method 4 (PT4) is admission based on a combination of aptitude test scores with school records, graduation exam scores, or competency assessment (AAP) tests organized by the school.

This method applies to candidates applying for Music Education, Fine Arts Education, PhysicalEducation , Preschool Education and Preschool Education - English Education. The general condition is that candidates have good conduct in all exams or better.

The final method (PT5) is based on the results of the competency assessment test organized by Hanoi Pedagogical University or Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University, combined with the school report or aptitude test score (for Preschool Education or Preschool Education - English Pedagogy).

Candidates can register for a maximum of 2 admission wishes according to PT5; can register for 2 different combinations to be admitted to the same training major, if any.

Regarding the competency assessment exam organized by the school, the school provides specific information as follows: The competency assessment exam subjects include Math, Literature, Foreign Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, and Geography.

In particular, Literature has 30% multiple choice questions and 70% essay questions, English has a ratio of 80 - 20 multiple choice and essay questions, the remaining subjects are 70 - 30%. According to Professor Nguyen Van Minh - Principal of Hanoi Pedagogical University, the essay part helps the school evaluate the candidate's ability to express himself to others. This is a quality that teachers need to have.

The University of Education's competency assessment exam takes place on 1 day (May 11, 2024) in different exam sessions at 3 locations: Hanoi University of Education, Quy Nhon University and University of Education (University of Da Nang).

Along with that, the school also organizes aptitude tests for candidates wishing to apply for the majors of Music Pedagogy, Fine Arts Pedagogy, Physical Education, Preschool Education and Preschool Education - English Pedagogy.
