Congress to establish the Consumer Rights Protection Association of Quang Binh province

(QBĐT) - On the afternoon of March 28, in Dong Hoi City, the first Congress to establish the Quang Binh Provincial Consumer Rights Protection Association (CPRA) for the 2024-2029 term took place. Attending the congress were representatives of the leadership of the Vietnam CPRA, departments, branches, localities and 78 members.

The Provincial Association for Consumer Protection and Management was established under Decision No. 3824/QD-UBND dated December 28, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee. The Association is a social organization, voluntarily established for the purpose of gathering and uniting members to protect the legitimate rights and interests of members, participate in consumer protection and management and perform tasks assigned by state agencies in accordance with the law, contributing to building a healthy production and business environment, and sustainable socio -economic development.

The Provincial Association for Protection of Consumer Rights operates according to the Association's Charter approved by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and legal regulations. The Department of Industry and Trade is the state agency that manages the association's field of operation.

In the coming time, the association will focus on implementing activities such as: Building and developing the association organization; propagating, disseminating legaleducation and raising awareness and qualifications for consumers; consulting and supporting consumers; raising awareness of the business community towards consumers; organizing training, building a team of prestigious and capable association officials; building a system of grassroots associations; strengthening cooperative relationships with functional agencies and participating in inspection and supervision delegations of competent state agencies; strengthening cooperative relationships with the Vietnam Association for Consumer Protection, member associations and other relevant mass organizations.

Launching the Executive Committee of the Consumer Rights Protection Association for the 2024-2029 term

The congress elected the first Executive Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Association for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests for the 2024-2029 term, consisting of 18 members. Mr. Dinh Minh Chat was elected by the congress to hold the position of President of the association.
