BHG - On the afternoon of May 6, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held a conference to review 10 years of implementing Directive 43, dated May 14, 2015 of the Secretariat of the 11th Party Central Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in dealing with the consequences of toxic chemicals used by the US during the war in Vietnam (Directive 43); at the same time, it reviewed the Association's work in the first 6 months of 2025 and deployed tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

After 10 years of implementing Directive 43, the awareness of Party committees, authorities and people at all levels towards the work of dealing with the consequences of toxic chemicals used by the US during the war in Vietnam has changed positively; the position and role of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels have been raised. Some outstanding results achieved include: In the past 10 years, the whole province has mobilized cash and in-kind items to help and support victims and families of Agent Orange victims with over 22 billion VND. In addition, the Association at all levels has helped victims and their families to rebuild and repair 173 houses; visited and presented over 20,000 gifts to victims worth over 12 billion VND; organized medical examination and treatment for 400 people; presented 112 savings books to members with a total value of 560 million VND. Along with that, the implementation of Party and State policies for people with meritorious services infected with Agent Orange has been well carried out; coordination between the Association at all levels with local organizations and authorities has been strengthened.
Regarding the results of the Association's work in the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin has focused on leading and directing its affiliated agencies and units to successfully complete their tasks and achieve many important results such as: The Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels has increasingly operated effectively and in a systematic manner; inspection and supervision work has been carried out regularly; propaganda and emulation work has been promoted. In particular, the Association at all levels has mobilized more than 1.5 billion VND to support and help Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the area.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels in the province will continue to deploy and implement Directive 43 of the Central Party Secretariat; effectively implement the program "Action for Agent Orange victims in 2025"; grasp the number and implement well the regime and policies to support and care for victims; focus on consolidating and perfecting strong Association organizations; build a team of Association officials with qualities and capacity to meet the requirements of the tasks; closely coordinate with sectors to promote propaganda and launch the emulation movement "Solidarity, affection, responsibility - For Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin"; actively mobilize resources to care for and help Victims of Agent Orange.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive 43 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.
