On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, on May 15, the Party Committee and the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia solemnly held an incense offering ceremony for President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Altar in the Embassy headquarters, a celebration ceremony and a thematic activity on "Ho Chi Minh's ideology and diplomatic style". Attending the activity were Ambassador Pham Hung Tam, officials, party members, and the public of the Embassy, agencies adjacent to the Embassy and representatives of Party cells in the capital Canberra.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador and Party Secretary Pham Hung Tam reviewed the highlights of President Ho Chi Minh's life and glorious career and his thoughts on foreign affairs. The Ambassador emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh was not only a genius leader of our Party and people, a great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, a national liberation hero, a world cultural celebrity, but also an exemplary international communist soldier, a close friend of nations fighting for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress around the world.
Ambassador Pham Hung Tam shared that the officials working in the foreign affairs sector always remember the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the first Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the founder and founder of Vietnam's revolutionary diplomacy. He directly directed foreign affairs work to promote the strength of the nation and the times, gathering the support of a large number of international forces for the Vietnamese people. He left many valuable lessons for Vietnam's diplomacy: Promoting independence and autonomy, valuing peace, humanity, loyalty, lessons on public diplomacy, "using the unchanging to respond to all changes"... Under the light of Ho Chi Minh's thought, under the leadership of the Party, Vietnam's revolutionary diplomacy has matured, grown and made worthy contributions to the cause of building, protecting and developing the country.
On this occasion, the delegates watched the documentary “Ho Chi Minh Diplomacy” provided by the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site and the Presidential Palace. The footage is a vivid demonstration of Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic ideology, methods and style, demonstrating the harmonious combination of traditional and modern values, the crystallization of Eastern and Western cultures, the embodiment of noble humanism, flexible behavior, courage, confidence, intelligence and cleverness .

Applying Ho Chi Minh's ideology and diplomatic style in current foreign affairs, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam emphasized that in the context of the rapidly changing, complex and unpredictable world situation, there is a need to elevate foreign affairs in the new era, the era of national development, along with national defense and security, defining foreign affairs as an important and regular task. The new requirement requires each foreign affairs officer to start from the interests of the nation and people, promote initiative, make correct assessments, give sharp and effective advice, contributing to the cause of protecting independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and national development.

On this occasion, the Ambassador called on all cadres and Party members in Australia to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, strive to achieve new achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Diplomatic Sector's tradition, the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and welcome the 14th National Party Congress.
