On behalf of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, Counselor Phan Minh Chien expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Vietnamese men's national football team in Laos and asked about the health of the players and coaching staff during their training period in preparation for the match in Laos.
According to Mr. Chien, the capital Vientiane is a locality with a large Vietnamese community living, studying and working, so the match taking place tomorrow night (November 19) will have a large Vietnamese audience coming to watch and cheer for the team.
Wishing the team to compete well and win to continue their journey in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, Mr. Phan Minh Chien also expressed his hope that the two teams will compete with all their might in the spirit of noble sportsmanship , contributing to demonstrating the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
The match against the Laos national men's football team is the last away match in the group stage of the Asian Cup 2027 of the Vietnam national men's football team. If they win this match, Vietnam still has the possibility to pass the group stage to participate in the Asian Cup finals which will take place in early 2027.
