Man City won 5-1 against Fulham in the match of round 4 of the Premier League to continue the winning streak. Haaland scored a hat-trick in the second half of the match.

Man City had a surprisingly effective match against Fulham. The Etihad team only had 7 shots during the 90 minutes of the match in round 4 of the Premier League, but coach Pep Guardiola's team scored 5 goals. Fulham also had 6 shots but only scored one goal.
Playing at home, Man City proactively pushed up their attacking formation. The home team dominated the game and put pressure on Fulham, however, Man City also had a hard time finding scoring opportunities against the visitors' large and well-organized defense.
In the 31st minute, Haaland escaped to receive a pass from his teammate. He quickly crossed the ball into the net for Alvarez to tap the ball in close range to open the score.
Man City's joy lasted exactly 2 minutes. In the 33rd minute, from a corner kick by the away team, goalkeeper Ederson dove to block the opponent's shot, the ball bounced near the left post, just in time for Ream to shoot the ball into the net to tie the score 1-1.
It seemed that Man City would have to go into the break with a draw, however in the 5th minute of injury time, Ake with a decisive shot from the edge of the penalty area put the ball in the net. A Man City player in an offside position tried to avoid the ball when it hit his position, so the goal was still recognized.
Fulham were forced to fight back in the second half after being led by a goal. The visitors quickly fell into Man City's defensive counter-attack trap. In the 58th minute, a Fulham player's block was just enough for Haaland to break through and defeat goalkeeper Leno, raising the score to 3-1.
As the team pushed forward, Fulham left a lot of space behind their defense. In the 70th minute, Haaland successfully converted a penalty to make it 4-1. Before that, Alvarez had carried the ball into the penalty area and was fouled by a Fulham player, so the referee blew a penalty for Man City.
Man City's big win was sealed by Haaland in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Gomez broke through on the left and passed the ball smoothly for Haaland to finish with one touch in the center, the ball went hard and Leno couldn't block it.
Man City is the only team to retain its perfect record in the 2023/24 Premier League. The defending champions are firmly in the lead with 12 points.
