Dak Lak: Connecting labor supply and demand faces difficulties

Mr. Le Hai Ly, Director of Dak Lak Employment Service Center (under the Department of Home Affairs) said that since the beginning of 2025, the work of connecting labor supply and demand in the province has encountered difficulties.

The reason is that due to the impact of the merger of departments, branches, and provinces, the budget for the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2025 has not yet been allocated, leading to the failure to implement tasks, especially organizing job transaction sessions.

In addition, some local Party committees and authorities have not paid attention to directing and lacked close coordination with specialized agencies in organizing propaganda, consulting, and introducing domestic jobs and labor export activities, so the work of connecting labor supply and demand has encountered difficulties.

Specifically, from the beginning of 2025 to present, Dak Lak Employment Service Center has chaired and coordinated the organization of 17 sessions and job fairs, providing job and career counseling and policies for 21,400 people; as a result, 1,210 workers have jobs.

Compared to the same period in 2023 and 2024, the number of job fairs organized, the number of workers receiving job and career counseling, and having jobs all decreased.

Specifically, in the first 6 months of 2023, the unit presided over and coordinated the organization of 40 sessions/day of job fairs, providing job and career counseling for 21,736 workers, thereby 1,240 workers found jobs; and in the first 6 months of 2024, the results were 24 sessions/day of job fairs, 27,035 workers were consulted, and 1,234 workers found jobs.
