To ensure students have a safe summer vacation.

A successful summer vacation is one where students use their free time safely and can learn new skills in their interests, leading to holistic physical, mental, and intellectual development. Let's listen to what students want for their summer vacation in 2025.

* Nguyen Ty Quan, class 6D, Nguyen Van Cu Secondary School, Buon Ma Thuot City:

During the 2024-2025 school year, I dedicated a lot of time to studying. Many subjects covered broad and challenging topics, making learning quite stressful, leaving us with little time for recreation. Therefore, this summer I want to travel near home or visit amusement parks in Buon Ma Thuot city to explore new things, broaden my horizons, and connect with friends and family. I also want to learn to swim to improve my health and protect myself in water; and take short courses on accident prevention, injury prevention, and fire safety to equip myself with the necessary knowledge and attitudes to face various situations in life.

* H. BêLa Mlô, class 3B, Võ Thị Sáu Primary School (Cư M'gar district):

With summer approaching, I have a small wish: that our school would organize a wider variety of extracurricular activities. For example, cultural clubs, life skills clubs, opportunities to experience hosting events, or swimming lessons. I think this would be a great opportunity for us to learn and relax. I also really enjoy reading in the summer. With more free time, reading becomes more comfortable and appealing than ever. The school library has been around for a while, but I find the number of books a bit limited, and many have already been read multiple times. I really hope the library will be updated with more new books, from English and Vietnamese books to novels, moral books, and comics... The more books we have to choose from, the more opportunities we'll have to improve our Vietnamese language skills and broaden our knowledge.

* Hoang Gia Huy, class 3B, Luong The Vinh Primary School (Buon Don district):

In third grade, I studied Computer Science, covering topics such as information and information processing, exploring computers, getting acquainted with the keyboard, learning about web applications, organizing and storing information, and using multimedia tools. I found that computers and smartphones offer many interesting applications and information that can be learned and used for entertainment. My teacher also warned me about the risks involved in using internet-connected devices (scams, online violence, harmful content, fake information). Therefore, this summer, in addition to playing outdoor games (soccer, badminton), I also want to learn online safety skills. This includes how to use computers and smartphones safely to avoid being exploited by malicious individuals; how to verify information from reliable sources; and which websites are safe for learning and entertainment purposes.
