Dak Lak exceeds target of granting electronic identification accounts to foreigners

On August 19, the Immigration Department of the Provincial Police Department announced that the unit had successfully completed the 50-day peak campaign to issue electronic identification accounts (VNeID) to foreigners, exceeding the set target.

The peak campaign is deployed from July 1 to August 19. The goal is to collect electronic identification accounts for all foreigners residing, studying and working in the province.

With great determination, the Immigration Department has applied many flexible and creative measures to complete the peak period; thereby, successfully received and processed electronic identification account registration applications for 288/252 cases (of which, 36 cases were newly issued), reaching 114.3% of the target after only 30 days of launching.

To achieve the above results, officers and soldiers of the Immigration Management Department proactively followed the grassroots, went to businesses, schools, and residential areas where foreigners resided to propagate and directly guide about the benefits and procedures for registering for VNeID level 2. This not only helps save time and effort but also creates favorable conditions for foreigners to easily access and register.

At the same time, closely coordinate with the Commune Police to review and count the number of qualified foreigners, clean the data to ensure it is "correct, sufficient, clean, and alive". Means and equipment are also prepared to ensure that the collection of documents takes place quickly and effectively.

Foreigners owning a VNeID will bring many conveniences in administrative transactions and public services while living and working in Vietnam, creating a safe and convenient electronic transaction environment.
