After the historic flood, the two communes of Krong Ana and Dur Kmal, although not located in the flood zone, still suffered significant damage when the water level of the Krong Ana and Serepok rivers rose, causing flooding and local isolation of many villages and hamlets.

At the meeting, leaders of the two communes briefly reported on the deep flooding in some residential areas, damage to crops, livestock, traffic works and the risk of insecurity at landslide sites. Local authorities mobilized local forces to support people in cleaning their houses, clearing the flow, checking the electricity and water systems and ensuring essential goods for affected households.
Due to the impact of floods, 11/26 hamlets and villages of Krong Ana commune were flooded with about 600 households, causing heavy damage to crops, plants and livestock. Up to now, the commune still has 8 households flooded; hamlet 6 alone is the area with the greatest damage, being isolated with 152 households, 700 people.
In Dur Kmal commune, Krong and Triet villages are the two most affected areas. Triet village is still isolated because the water has not receded. For the isolated villages, the local government has organized support forces and ensured adequate supply of food, foodstuffs and necessities for the people, while closely monitoring the situation to respond promptly.

Working with the provincial Working Group No. 5, the leaders of the two communes of Krong Ana and Dur Kmal asked the province to consider supporting plant and animal varieties, funding to repair infrastructure, especially repairing flooded and landslide-affected roads, as well as requesting the health sector to support environmental sanitation, ensure food safety and hygiene, and prevent epidemics after floods, in order to help people quickly stabilize their lives and production.
Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Y Huong Nie highly appreciated the efforts of the government and people of the two communes to overcome the consequences; at the same time, he acknowledged the recommendations submitted to the province for consideration and timely support in terms of funding, materials, plant and animal breeds, environmental sanitation, disease prevention, etc.
At the meeting, Director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control Hoang Hai Phuc informed that the Provincial Center for Disease Control has sent a rapid response team to prevent and control floods to directly coordinate with the Krong Ana Medical Center to handle the environment and guide people to safely treat domestic water sources. At the same time, the Krong Ana Medical Center was provided with 100 bags of medicine and 25 kg of Cloramin B chemicals to serve the disinfection work, ensure environmental hygiene, and prevent epidemics after floods.
