Dak Nong fuels hundreds of startup ideas from women's association members

Dak Nong Provincial Women's Union has just held a conference to summarize the Project "Supporting women to start a business in the period 2018 - 2025" in the province.

During the 2018-2025 period, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has fueled the passion for starting a business for thousands of women and realized 425 startup ideas; established 9 new cooperatives and 7 cooperative groups owned by women.

In addition, to effectively support women in starting businesses and startups, the Women's Union at all levels of Dak Nong province has organized many diverse and practical startup competitions.

After 7 years, the whole province has had 316 models and startup ideas participating in the fields of agriculture, trade, services, tourism, etc. More than 100 startup ideas were awarded. Many typical models reached the Central level, contributing to building product brands with strong local identity. Women's Unions at all levels also diversified communication channels, contributing to raising social awareness of the role of women in economic development; strengthening communication and promoting women's products in particular, and key local products in general. Women's Unions at all levels also coordinated with sectors to take advantage of capital sources from credit institutions to support women in developing their family economy.

At the Conference, the Dak Nong Provincial Women's Union awarded certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 34 individuals with outstanding contributions in implementing Project 939 "Supporting women to start businesses" in the period 2018-2025.

In the next phase, the Dak Nong Provincial Women's Union will continue to strengthen women's OCOP products; improve the quality of activities of cooperatives and cooperatives led by women, associated with promoting information technology activities and digital transformation to promote and introduce products, and link to create product output.
