Ensure that activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year create a joyful and meaningful atmosphere among the people.

On December 16th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to review the progress of activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026.

Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, presided over and spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism informed the delegates about the progress of organizing many activities to celebrate the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, such as: organizing incense offerings to commemorate; visiting and wishing Happy New Year; gatherings of agencies and units; organizing the Tet (Lunar New Year) celebration for the military and civilians in Vinh Long province; a series of tourism promotion activities with the theme "Vinh Long tourism towards a green and sustainable future"; sports activities; trade and tourism promotion fairs; organizing the Spring Flower Street in 2026; fireworks displays and art programs for the people.

Delegates contributed many opinions revolving around the advantages and difficulties in implementing programs; the socialization of event organization; ensuring traffic order and safety, fire prevention and control; ensuring food safety during Tet; as well as adjusting the timing of events to be appropriate and effective.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, requested that departments, agencies, and localities focus on urgently and effectively implementing assigned tasks, ensuring timely progress, and organizing events thoughtfully, solemnly, effectively, and economically. At the same time, special attention should be paid to visiting and extending New Year greetings to target groups; mobilizing and supporting Tet gifts for poor and near-poor households, ensuring that people receive adequate and timely care so that they can celebrate Tet happily, warmly, and prosperously.

Celebration activities for the Party and the Lunar New Year should demonstrate the concern of Party committees and authorities at all levels for the lives of the people; thereby creating a joyful, enthusiastic, and united atmosphere, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the nation.
