Before the merger, the Provincial Women's Union had a specialized agency advising the Provincial Women's Union; 12 district-level organizations; 3 affiliated organizations; 200 grassroots organizations; 2,233 grassroots-level affiliated chapters, with a total of more than 210,000 members. There were 265 full-time officials, including 21 at the provincial level, 44 at the district level, and 200 at the grassroots level.
After the merger, the Provincial Women's Union has a Women's Working Committee; 3 affiliated organizations and 75 Women's Unions of communes and wards. In particular, the Women's Working Committee is a specialized agency advising the Provincial Women's Union, directly under the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, consisting of 12 full-time officials and civil servants. The Women's Working Department at the commune level has 2 positions including a chairperson and specialist, 1 part-time vice chairperson, while increasing the scale of the operating area and the number of female members. With the characteristics of mountainous and border areas, many branches in remote and isolated villages, difficulties in organization and management, requiring Union officials to improve their capacity, increase access and grasp the aspirations of female members in each branch and each specific target group.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union issued a decision to establish and appoint 2,065 members of the Executive Committee; 445 members of the Standing Committee; 74 positions of President; 21 positions of Vice President of 75 Women's Unions of communes and wards. After being established, 75/75 grassroots associations held the first meeting of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee, announced the decision to establish, the decision to appoint personnel of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union; proposed operating regulations, assigned tasks, and drafted a work program for the last 6 months of the year.
Grassroots organizations continue to maintain and promote the emulation movements "Building Vietnamese Women of the New Era" associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's"; "Women join hands to build new countryside"... Build and launch 75 fanpages of the Women's Union of communes and wards; establish zalo groups to grasp the situation, manage and direct the work. Thanks to that, the activities of the association and movements are ensured to be deployed and maintained after the merger.
Although there are still many difficulties, such as commune-level organizations have not been granted operating funds; equipment for professional work of some commune-level Women's Unions has degraded; personnel work, currently the whole province has only 21/75 communes and wards arranged the position of vice president of the commune-level Women's Union... However, with high determination, proactive spirit, responsibility, the new apparatus of the Provincial Women's Union continues to stabilize the organization, meet the requirements of the task, do a good job of caring for, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women in the province.
